Tips and Tricks for Finding Freebies on the Internet
Who doesn’t love a good freebie? Did you know that there are tons of businesses and brands that love to give their customers and potential customers samples of their products?
If you know where to look you can ensure that you have a constant supply of free items sent to your door. Cosmetics, personal hygiene products, baby items, food items and perfumes and aftershaves are just some of the items that companies send for free. These are often trial size, but not always sometimes full products are sent. Samples on offer change all the time and they go fast so it’s a good idea to apply for them as soon as you see that they’re available.
In my opinion, there are a few dos and don’ts before claiming samples but always check a company or brand’s Ts and Cs before requesting a sample. Some samples are aimed at parents or people of a certain age. If you can’t use a sample or know someone to pass it on to, leave it for someone else who can use it.
Firstly, if you are new to searching for freebies, I suggest that you set up a new email address. This will mean you don’t get any potential spam sent to your primary email and you can keep all your freebies and samples emails all in one place. It will also make it easier for you to keep track of all your samples and freebies too. I also think that you should only claim one sample so that there are plenty of samples for others to claim too.
Places where you can find freebies
Websites
There are plenty of websites that will show you where and how to claim a freebie. Hot Deals UK is a great place to start and they will help you with everything you need to start claiming some freebies. Websites often want to know a bit about you, your family and your buying habits so that they can send the appropriate samples to you.
Different websites often have different samples available so don’t just visit one. Bookmark the sites so that you can find them easier and visit them often to see when new samples are available.
Brand websites often have freebies to give away either in the form of a sample or as a printable coupon that can be redeemed in a store of your choice. If you have a favourite brand or product, it is often worth looking at their website to see if they have samples.
Social Media
Brands often share when they have samples available on their social media accounts. It is often worth following your favourite brands on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter so that you will get regular updates and be aware when they have samples. Similarly, If you have a Google Assistant or an Alexa ask it to send you a sample, you may need to link your account the first time you ask for a sample but this is easy to do via the app.
Review Panels
In the past, I have been sent vacuum cleaners and an oven to review and keep. Friends have been sent items such as fridge freezers, washing machines and more. Brands often open up applications for people to review new items a few times a year. Again, these are often advertised on social media and on the companies own websites.
Enter Competitions
Although time consuming and no guarantee of a win if you enter competitions, you are in with the chance of winning some amazing prizes. In the past I have won shopping vouchers, holidays, cash, toys and money can’t buy experiences for my children (my eldest was a mascot for Arsenal twice thanks to competitions I found on Facebook). Even spending as little as 30 minutes to an hour a day entering competitions will give you a good chance of winning. Look on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and dedicated competition sites to find the best ones to enter.
Do you look for samples? If so, I’d love to hear where you find them in the comments below.
