Where it all began

Adventures of a Yorkshire Mum was established in April 2012 by Michaela, a mum of three lovely boys.  T was born in May 2009, C in September 2011, and J, her little rainbow baby, arrived in February 2015. She was and always will be the original Yorkshire Mum.

She passed the baton to me, Louise, in 2021 and just like her, I’m a true Yorkshire Mum too, so the site is in very safe hands, I can assure you.

Where it’s at now

I’m a 40-something mum who is Yorkshire through and through. I was born in York and moved to the Yorkshire coast when I was 3. Here I grew up, studied, met my husband and had my children. We moved to West Yorkshire 17 years ago, but hoping to relocate back to the coast in a few years’ time.

I like to spend my time reading, watching Grey’s Anatomy and chick flicks and baking. My aim is to buy a motorhome so that Matthew (my husband) and I can travel more when the boys are older.

I have three sons: C is 21, N is 18, and J is 17. They all have very different interests and personalities, but they all love playing video games and F1, and J loves to go fishing with his dad. My niece and goddaughter, K, is also featured from time to time. She is 4, and although not my own, she is certainly one of the family.

We have a dog, Max. He is a French Bulldog and is as mad as a hatter. We also have two cats, Marley and Reggie, who are polar opposites but are completely bonkers in their own ways.
