Now that Christmas and New Year are over the days and nights seem much longer and darker don’t you think? It always seems worse the first couple of weeks in January as it’s dark and miserable and all the lovely decorations and Christmas lights have been packed away for another year. There’s not much happening and it seems like a long time until the lighter nights and warmer weather arrives.
I spend a lot of my winter at home. I’m busy baking, reading, catching up on boxsets or playing on the Xbox or Switch. But when I do go out whether it be to see my family, the cinema or for something to eat I like to be warm and comfy in the clothes that I wear.
I’ve recently updated a few of the items in my wardrobe ready for the colder months thanks to Yours. I’ve added another jumper dress (who doesn’t love a jumper dress), a long skirt and a knitted jumper.
“Love” Slogan Jumper
This stylish black jumper is perfect for adding a little comfort to your wardrobe. Available in sizes 14 – 34/36 this black ‘Love’ slogan, long sleeved jumper is made from a soft-touch boucle fabric. I love that the jumper is quite long. I find most styles at the minute hang just where your waistband is and I don’t like that as it’s an area I like to have covered. Although it’s not oversized, the jumper is generous in size but hangs and clings in the right places. It would look great over a tshirt, shirt and with a pair of leggings or jeans. It’s great for walks in the park, trips to the cinema or for a chilled day at home. A definite wardrobe staple.
Maxi Jersey Stretch Skirt
This 97cm long skirt is a flattering length, it is woven from a stretchy jersey fabric and features two handy pockets. This black shirt is available in sizes 14 – 38/40. It’s relaxed, floaty fit is perfect for everyday wear and would look great teamed with a long sleeve tshirt and a pair of flats or chunky boots. I used to love this style of skirt when I was younger. It fits in all the right places and hides all those bits you don’t want to show. A long skirt is perfect for colder days at home or at work.
Open Collar Midi Jumper Dress
This midi jumper dress is made from a soft knitted fabric, it features long sleeves with an open collar and a side split hem. It is available in sizes 16 – 30/32 and in a choice of 7 colours. The dress would be perfect for cosy winter dates, a cheeky weekend city breaks or even for a winter walk in the park if styles with leggings or tights and boots.
