Stepping Out In Comfort This Spring

I don’t know about you but these days for me I am always dressed with comfort in mind. Whether it’s an outfit for a special occasion, a trip to the cinema, a meal out with friends or a day working at home you will never find me in anything that is uncomfortable.

The great thing about fashion at the minute is that is affordable, fashionable and totally comfortable and I really don’t know about anyone else but I am so pleased that both bootcut trousers and wedge shoes are back in (please please do not let both of these things go out of fashion anytime soon).

I’ve been updating my wardrobe thanks to Cotton Traders. I’ve chosen items that will see me through spring, evening events in summer and into the winter months too. I am not a fan of fast fashion so always try to choose things that can be worn more than once and in multiple ways.

If you’re looking for a couple of new items for your spring wardrobe here are my suggestions.

Bootcut Jeggings

A person stands on stone steps wearing comfortable fashion: dark blue bootcut jeans, beige sandals, a white top, and holding a straw hat by their side. The upper body is out of frame. The background is light and airy.

These bootcut jeggings are as comfy as a pair of leggings but with all the style of a pair of bootcut jeans. These cotton-rich denim jeggings have a touch of stretch that means their smart shape bounces back wear after wear and wash after wash. Because they are pull-on jeggings and have a fully elasticated waistband they are a comfortable fit. They even have functional front and back pockets, belt loops, a mock fly and a decorative button to the waist to give that well known classic jeans look.

1/2 Sleeve Tops

A wardrobe staple of mine is t-shirts and tops that I can wear all year round and ones that can be worn that don’t need to be ironed. Like most people, I do not have the time or inclination to iron for hours on end each weekend. I love clothes that I can get out and just wear without any effort. I love a wrinkle free 1/2 length sleeve top I’m not going to lie. I love tops that have a flattering scoop or V-neck and ½ length sleeves. They look great with a pair of jeans or even a skirt.

Wedge Sandals

A pair of beige wedge sandals with textured straps, an ankle buckle, and cork-patterned platform heels offers comfortable fashion, shown on a white background.

Wedge sandals are back this spring and I could not be happier. As a woman who is 5ft 4 I have always been on the short side. I used to live in heels but over the years my feet have hated it so I mainly wore chunky heeled shoes or flats. I used to love wedge sandals as they’re so comfortable and stylish. These wood-effect wedge heeled sandals have soft cushioned insoles, and soft faux leather uppers with a subtle snakeskin-textured finish for added glamour. They look great with a skirt or jeans.
