A person wearing a striped shirt and jeans is sitting on a patterned rug, sorting and folding stacks of clothing, including jeans, trousers, and shirts. Their hands are arranging a light-coloured garment with chic Femme Luxe style.

Femme Luxe – Back To Black Clothing

Colours can excite our mind in various ways, and how we react to some of them can tell a lot about our personality. Little black dresses have sparkled men’s fantasies for countless decades, while some women find men in black suits simply stunning.
But it doesn’t just need to be a colour worn by people who are self-sufficient and confident. In fact, having this colour preference may hint at a sensitive and even vulnerable personality. Black is lazy and easy.  Also, The most common monastic colour is black, as a symbolic of repentance and simplicity.
I go through fazes in my wardrobe. Sometimes the colour can just pop all over the shop, and other times my wardrobe looks like the nights sky. At the moment it is showing a lot of black and dark colours. I think it may be Winter that has brought the darkness with it.
Fans of metal and rock music tend to wear black a lot. The dark colours they put on represent their identity – heavy, loud and assertive like the music they listen to. Which is actually very different to me, as I am very much into rock and metal, but don’t necessarily have those traits about me.
But black can add so much to your wardrobe. A Bodysuit with a strappy design and an on trend double cup looks so fashionable aside a pair of High Waisted Longline Cycling Shorts. With a flattering longline fit that suits all heights and all styles. Pair with some chunky boots, or a pair of heels like I have.
I’m also heavily into the utility style but usually the khaki colour ways don’t suit me, so it’s nice to see a range available in black with this Long Sleeve Belted Utility Cargo Jacket to have you standing out against the crowd. With a five pocket utility design and a square front belt, it also comes with another extra long belt too so you can style it up however you like.
To dress down my look though, I also love a good crop, and this black Cropped Long Sleeve Jumper is ideal to wear when I don’t want to flaunt the flesh. This easy fit jumper is loose, soft and really lovely to wear.
If you fall for black, you can wear it as much as you can. For a change, it goes perfectly with some red here and there, but if you’re a lover of black, like me, then you can wear it however you like…

  1. You're looking great and I love how you have mixed and layered the black garments. After years of wearing 'in your face' clothing and footwear, black is now my 'go to' colour. I find it both slimming and calming.
