Teas To Drink From Morning Till Night

Four tea bags filled with different types of loose teas hang by strings against a black background. Each bag offers a unique blend, perfect for morning tea or night tea, showcasing an array of colours and textures.
We drink, on average, 165 million cups of black tea each day in the UK and this means that we are rightly known as a nation of tea lovers. But with so many options on the supermarket shelves nowadays, which ones are best, and what time of day should we be drinking them?
The right cup of tea can be just what you need at any point in the day. To wake you up, per you up, and send you off to the land of nod, the question is figuring out which teas drink best as the day progresses. To help make the right decisions at the right time, here are the best teas for the morning, noon and night. So get your kettle on the boil, dig out the silver teapots, and read along to see which tea you should pick.
Morning wake up
When the alarm goes off, some are lucky enough to leap out of bed and be ready for the day ahead. But if you’re like me, you’ll need a much anticipated mug of tea to ease you into the day. But which one is best to pick for a morning wake up when it comes to trying to avoid the wake up off coffee?
If you want that extra morning energy without the caffeine jitters then it’s best to switch out your morning mug of coffee for a warm, energising cup of earl grey. Serve as is or stir in some milk and honey for extra cosiness on a cold morning. If you want to spice things up, try chai tea instead as the combination of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger smells amazing and gives you that nice little flavor kick to start your day off right.
A cup of morning tea sits on a table next to white flowers, lace, and two open books, whilst a person’s hands flick through one of the books. The scene feels calm and cosy.
Mid-day slump
If you’re feeling a little sluggish post lunch and want a way to beat the afternoon slump, then go for a nice lemon and ginger green tea. Green tea can be a great alternative to coffee in the afternoon when you want that little boost of energy, but without the feeling coffee gives you a little later. An added benefit is that lemon and ginger work together to aid digestion which is especially helpful after lunch.
If you’re not into hot drinks after your lunch though, you could opt for a fruity iced tea instead. Steep some fruity herbal tea in hot water for a few minutes and then pour over ice until it’s nice and cool. Enjoy with a slice of lemon, and you’ll feel refreshed and ready to tackle any task. What’s more, you can go for your favourite fruity flavour to give an added boost to your day.
Bedtime
You know what it’s like at bedtime, you want a mug of something hot but don’t want to be awake all night with a caffeine high. Now is the time to grab yourself a soothing cup of lavender chamomile tea and indulge in some well deserved self love before bed.
And if lavender isn’t for you, then I’ve got two words for you: peppermint tea. Perfect for all hours, peppermint tea is not only good for your immune system, but it can also support healthy digestion so you’ll be feeling great, no matter where you go or what you do. So it’s an ideal way to end the day.
