A short while ago, J was sent a lovely pair of shoes from Start-rite to try out and today I thought I’d write about how he’s been getting on with them.
After much deliberation, I had picked out the Super Soft Start-rite Beetlebug Shoes for him as I thought they would give him a good fit with the riptape fastening and protection as the leather will absorb moisture to keep feet dry and they have a lightweight and flexible sole too.
The shoes arrived and they were so cutely packaged. Like, making getting a child’s first pair of shoes such a special occasion and J was so excited to open the box to see what was inside.

I prefer to keep my little ones out of shoes as much as possible to help their feet develop, but once they started walking, it was time to get them a proper pair of footwear for when they’re out and about toddling around.
The Start-rite Beetlebug shoes are perfect for little toddlers as they have a riptape fastening for adjustability and to give a comfortable fit and also have a padded ankle for comfort and support whilst the lightweight sole is flexible to aid comfort and help those little feet keep developing correctly.
J has found them so comfortable to walk, and play, in whilst also looking super cute and being durable too. Even after a month worth of wear, they still look as good as new.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the shoes from Start-rite. I think having a flexible sole is perfect as it means that little ones don’t have to have the harshness is standing in hard-soled shoes for too long and instead, get a flexible sole which moves like do.

Do sound good we need more comfortable shoes but sturdy and tough too
They look very comfy and stylish, I bet he loves them, I always bought my son clarks when he was younger, and Megan too, but Mollie is 8 months and doesn't have shoes yet, she won't keep her bootees or socks on, but when she starts walking il have to look at these xxx
