Numatic Henry Xtra Pet Vacuum Cleaner Review

Since we’ve lived in this house, we’ve had many vacuums and tried many brands, the one that has always come up best has been Henry vacuum. We’ve had him for about 12 years and he’s still going strong now. He might have lost a little suction, but in over a decade, he’s doing well.
Well we’ve now had the chance to review a new Henry, the Numatic Henry Xtra Pet Vacuum Cleaner, and so I thought this would be a good time to take up the challenge and see if the new, pet vacuum, keeps up to my good old Henry.
The Henry Range have carried out a direct comparison between the Henry Xtra and the regular Henry, and I’ve found some key differences myself while testing the Xtra model. Henry vacuums are a bagged cylinder vacuum cleaner from Numatic. It has a generous 9 litre dust capacity and really packs the dust down well into those bags. When you remove a full one from inside it, it can weigh quite a lot and hold a lot of muck.

What I personally love about Henry vacuums, is that they have a huge hose (no pun intended). It’s long enough to reach up high to the ceiling to reach dust and have Henry at the bottom of the steps whilst reaching half way up to vacuum them.
The Henry Xtra is that little bit better than a normal Henry though, as it has some handy extra tools too keep your floors spotless. The turbo tool is great if you live with furry friends, as it removes ground-in dirt with ease – so whether it’s muddy paw prints or pet hair, your rooms will be left immaculate.

It even has handy on-board storage for your accessories, so everything is kept tidy and organised which I love. No more having to search the cupboards for the accessories when they’re all ready with the machine.
The accessories are really delicate too so will protect your surfaces, the soft bristles of the dusting brush prevent scuffs and scratches and Henry’s wheels glide effortlessly along any floor. And the main tool can be changed to work better for hard floors or carpets.

The suction is so powerful too, cleaning my carpets and taking every little bit of muck with it with that little smile on his face as he gets to work. The cord is great too as it is super long so I can plug in one place and do a few rooms before having to re-plug somewhere else. He is a little clumsy though, getting caught on door frames and edges quite easily as you pull him around the room.
Overall, the Numatic Henry Xtra Pet Vacuum Cleaner is just as amazing, if not better, than the original. It comes with more attachments and has more suction to make for an easy cleaning experience.* Review Post

  1. We have the original Henry hoover and are really pleased with it. I didm't realise there was a super duper one – may be worth investing in for the pets! (@0zzyhog)
