Save Money By Buying And Selling Online

As someone who spends a lot of time online, I find myself drifting to online shopping a lot and usually end up with all sorts in my imaginary online shopping cart. Shopping online is not only a great way to save time, but you can search around for products so easily and usually get a better deal too.
Amazon and eBay are my initial go to places when I’m looking for something, and then I use Google before locating to the well known shops and small independents. I’ve easily saved hundreds of pounds by searching online, Christmas is the best time to be looking too as all those online shops have sales too. No need to even leave your arm chair!

The best thing about shopping online, is actually getting paid to spend. I use many cashback sites, TopCashback and Quidco being my favourites and over the years that I’ve been spending online, I’ve earned well over 1k in cashback from these sites.
Stacks of coins and several pens lie on financial documents, evoking themes of accountancy or financial planning—ideal for illustrating how to save money when buying online.
Then it comes to selling too. We all know those Facebook selling groups where you can list items for sale in your local area and Debra from down the road will try and offer you 50% less than what you’ve asked for. It gets annoying and time consuming.
So I list all my unwanted items on eBay and then post them all around the country to people who actually want to pay the going rate for items. Postage I find best using Parcel2Go Express Delivery as it means that I get a great deal on the price and the item gets delivered to the recipient in no time at all.
Okay, you have to pay fees with eBay, but to just put it in to context. I had 2 of the same product to sell – a baby item that was brand new. I listed one on a local selling page and the other on eBay. The local selling page sold for £50 and the other for £90. Even after the fess are taken off I’m quids in selling on eBay. And I get to post the items too so don’t have some random person turning up at my home when I’m looking my most un-presentable.
I think more and more people are becoming wise to the savings that are being made by buying and selling online. It’s a great way to earn money as you spend and then make money selling your old stuff!

  1. We buy and sell on Ebay and other than a few tiny issues its all been great and Paypal is a reliable way of paying and receiving money

  2. Selling those things you dont want online (ie, sacks of toys that would otherwise go to charity) makes a great deal of sense.
