Femme Luxe Dresses Review

Recently, I have started trying to focus on myself more, as a woman. Being a parent means not always having time for oneself, but I’ve vowed to work on myself and gain that confidence I need. So, I have been slowly doing more posts about myself, and fashion. Starting with the Femme Luxe Fashion Haul a few months back, and then a subsequent Femme Luxe review post last month.

I am continuing to work with them again this month as I’ve enjoyed trying out some new styles, new clothing and the choice they have to offer. This time, focusing solely on dresses, I wanted to show some of the styles they have available, and the ones that I like.

Describing themselves as a ‘current, classy and forward thinking online fashion brand‘, Femme Luxe produce clothing that can be worn for a night out, day wear and on special occasions, as well as just for relaxing in whilst at home.

I am so into denim dresses at the moment, so straight away chose the Button Down Denim Dress as my first choice. This stretch denim really contours my curves, and is easy to get on, without even unfastening the buttons. I paired it with tan and suede accessories as they always work well together.

Pinafore dresses are also a favourite of mine, as I like how you can dress them up or down, just by the top you wear underneath. I went for an office vibe in my styling of the Black Check Wide Strap Pinafore. With black tights, a long sleeved top underneath and a little bag, the pinafore looked amazing.

It has wide straps so could easily cater for a blouse underneath too, as it has a deep plunge design that could show off fancy buttons to really make it stylish. It is mini dress length so would also be a great going out dress if paired with some super high heels and a crop top underneath.

Another pinafore dress design,  the Croc Frill Pinafore Dress is a style I love. I already have this pinafore in a checked design and knew the fit was lovely, so just had to get it in my favourite colour. Made from a stretch material, it fits really well and is quite short in style, perfect for the summer weather.

I think it really works with all other items being dark as it really makes the red stand out. So I matched it with a black long sleeved top, tights and heels to really make the colour pop. They do this pinafore in so many designs and colours that you could really get to work picking out a few of these.

I then decided to pick out a dress that would be more formal in design, one that I could wear when maybe going for a meal or somewhere higher end. The Gingham Button Ruffle Mini Dress stood out to me as ideal as it had a great design, pretty ruffles and looked classic in style.

To be very honest, this was probably my least favourite of the dresses. I mean, it was beautiful and a great length, and style, but it just wasn’t great fitting around the bust which meant I looked like I was exploding over the top of it. I guess this is very much down to the size of my bust though, so just be wary that, if you have a bigger bust, this one might not be for you.
