That feeling when you’ve finally created your happy place at home, and feel content just as is, that’s the way to bring Hygge into the home. Hygge is all about that atmosphere that makes you feel at home, and it can be little things such a a dimly lit candle to your favourite chair for reading in.
I’ve been reading up all about Hygge recently as I wanted to make sure every space in our home was created with a purpose, to make us happy, to make us feel at one with ourselves and was thrilled to have been invited to be one of a handful of the UKโs most influential โhomeโ bloggers to partner Danish global furniture group JYSK for their Feel The Happiness promotion which celebrates the opening of their 2,500th store!
Us Brits love a bit of Scandi style and JYSK, which has 15 UK stores and is also available online (where you can look to find your nearest store), have tasked us with reviewing some of their items, creating our own Hygge vibe and I’ll also be offering you the chance to win a little Hygge for your own home.

I love everything cosy!! Scented candles, cushions, throws, lamps instead of the main light to create more of an atmosphere. Fairy lights are a must too, love a bit of sparkle!

Spending time with my kids, having dinner, watching a film or playing a boardgame. Occasionally on a Sunday afternoon/evening, if none of us have to work, we do all 3. They're 17 and 18, and funny, clever and great to spend time with.

Freshly decorated rooms. We've recently decorated the lounge and just, this weekend, done the kitchen. There's something about fresh paint and a new look that brightens and refreshes me
