Planning a wedding is extremely stressful and I know that it is incredibly easy to forget things and go into panic mode! Brides tend to spend a lot of time focusing on the details of the wedding day, including things like the wedding breakfast and how to best decorate the venue. But sometimes it’s all too easy for brides to forget about themselves! I found that having a reliable list in front of me was the best way to ensure that I didn’t forget any of my essential wedding day accessories.
Bridal Jewelry
The theme of your wedding and the style of wedding dress will determine the type of bridal jewellery you wear on your big day. For brides who have chosen a classic and traditional white wedding, elegant bridal jewellery such as a beautiful tennis bracelet is an ideal choice. When considering a necklace for your wedding day, think about the neckline of your wedding dress and decide upon the style that matches your other bridal jewellery. Typically brides choose to wear complimentary jewellery, including earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet.

Veils
Don’t feel that you have to be throwing a big traditional wedding in order to wear a veil! Plenty of brides have hosted alternative weddings and rocked the veil. Thankfully, veils come in all different shapes and sizes, so there’s always going to be something that suits your personality and wedding aesthetic. 50’s inspired brides may love birdcage veils, whereas those brides that are looking for a more bohemian look may consider lace or beaded veils.
Hair Pieces
If you decide against wearing a veil, you’re going to want to wear something elegant in your hair to add a little something special. Hair pieces aren’t just limited to headbands and tiaras – there are lots of options available, so there’s always something to complement your hairstyle and wedding theme. Consider flower crowns, hair wraps, hair vines, and hair combs.
Dazzling Bridal Belts
Bridal belts are self-tying sashes that typically have a soft base and provide a little sparkle to the bride’s wedding dress, helping to create a statement look that is unforgettable. The underside of bridal belts is soft to ensure that it does not mark or damage the wedding dress, and the design usually includes some sort of ornamentation. Bridal belts can completely transform a dress, therefore brides with simple dresses often choose accessories with a bridal belt to create a truly showstopping look. Of course, as well as adding to the aesthetics of the wedding dress, the bridal belt also helps to flatter the bride’s figure.
A Small Clutch Bag With An Emergency Kit
Lastly, a small clutch with an emergency wedding night kit is absolutely essential! Match the clutch to your wedding dress and stock up on useful items, such as blister plasters and tissues. A small clutch bag is also a great place to keep your phone and other essential items that you want to have on your person when you’re partying the night away.
Which of these essential bridal accessories do you already have, and which do you still need to get? What do you think should be on our list of essential accessories for brides on their wedding day? Let me know in the comments!
