I got married in New York with just four people present and for me personally, it was the most perfect day and the wedding I always wanted. We had thought about having a big wedding with all our family attending, but it would have ended up with a crazy amount of people (I have 54 cousins just on my mum’s side and my husband has a similar number too), so there was no way we could invite everyone. It would have been both extremely expensive and an utter nightmare to try to organise as I would hate to be the person who had to pick and choose who came and where everyone would be seated. Many of my family have successfully organised big weddings or whittled their guest lists down to just those they wanted there but for me, it gave me sleepless nights and endless worry, so in the end, we decided to elope.
If unlike us, you are now planning your wedding especially now that lockdown restrictions are easing and you can have all your original plans in place you might be panicking about it or perhaps, you’re not but wanted to see what people are planning then I have a few suggestions to make it easier for the things you might have overlooked.
Dress shopping

For many brides, her dress is probably the most important part of her outfit. Many have had ideas about their wedding dress for years others don’t give it much thought until they have a date set in mind. Whichever type of bride you are choose a dress for you, not your mum, guests or even your husband to be. Don’t close your mind to one dress design either. I thought I had the perfect dress but in the end, it didn’t sit right on my figure and it made me feel a little deflated. After a couple of weeks of looking in shops and online, I bought a dress from the high street, and it cost less than £100 but it was perfect for me. When it comes to shopping for wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding guest dresses. Ever Pretty won’t disappoint. Here you’ll find elegant and sexy styles made from classic lace, silk and satin fabrics in petite to plus sizes.
Car Hire

If you’re looking to hire a car for your big day or perhaps you are looking for prom car hire ideas, there are a few things you need to consider as getting the bride to the venue on time for the most important day of her life is a big deal. Price, venue and numbers within the bridal party are all things you need
to think about but in terms of transport, you might want to choose a vehicle that is the bride or grooms favourite car brand / model, perhaps a vintage car or even one that ties in with your wedding theme / colour scheme.
Photos of your big day

If you are planning a wedding on a budget, you might not think that wedding photos are important but please consider having some taken even if it is just a few from the ceremony / venue taken by family and friends. You might decide that you want your whole day filmed and photographed from start to finish or to just have your friends and family snap photos as and when they want and send them to you later.
Choosing your cake

If you are planning to have your wedding cake made by a professional, please make sure you leave enough time to book them. Cake makers are often booked up months and even years in advance if they are well known. Don’t leave it until the last minute and then ask on Facebook as you might find your cake
is nothing like you wanted or expected.Although I’ve only touched on a couple of things to consider there are more things you might be thinking about for your big day. Make a list so that you don’t forget the things that are important to you and remember it’s you big day so don’t worry about the little things and if you have enough money left in your budget make sure you book your honeymoon.
