So You Want To Start Potty Training Your Toddler?
Teaching your child to use the toilet, is one of the big milestones for any toddler has to go through. Before you even start contemplating toilet training, you need to look for the signs that your toddler is ready. Starting to sound can be frustrating for both Parent and child, and a can end up making the whole process take a lot longer.
So, to get started with potty training you need a few items in your household. Now this doesn’t need to be a whole range of this and that, it can be just a few small items just to help get you on your way to potty training success.
A potty is a must when it comes to potty training, but one that converts from a potty to a toilet seat is even better. Bumbo’s Step ‘n Potty provides a complete 3 in 1 toilet training solution for toddlers. Firstly, as a potty when the soft toilet trainer seat is used assembled onto the base to make a potty. This section also has a removable inner potty for easy cleaning.
When your child is a little older and ready to use the toilet, but not quite tall enough to get to the seat, the base of the Bumbo Step ‘n Potty converts into a slip-resistant step stool and the soft seat can then be placed on the adult toilet for the ultimate security & comfort.
For the same reason as above, a potty is necessary when training a toddler. It can be quite difficult when out and about though as lugging a potty around, and then finding somewhere to empty it, or constantly searching for a toilet, can be tiresome. My Carry Potty combats this problem easily though and means that you can still get out whilst potty training.
The potty is really lightweight, leak-proof and completely bag free, designed with a unique lid that provides a completely watertight seal. Once open, the toddler can do their business and then when finished, the potty clicks shut with a secure locking mechanism and stops anything from leaking, keeping all the odour locked inside it too. And it comes in a range of funky designs to keep the little ones engaged too.
Training pants are a great way for toddlers to learn all about pants but still have some protection from accidents. Close Parent have specially designed Pop-in potty training pants to ease the transition from nappy to potty. They are designed to look and feel like grown up pants but they still let little ones feel the wetness and can be pulled up and down easily. They are fully reusable so can be washed, dried and ready to be used again, over and over until potty training is successful.
What’s more, Close Parent also do a Pop-in Night Time Pants which have a clever combination of absorbent and waterproof fabrics inside which coupled with a deep elastic cuff help provide the ultimate protection against leaks during the night.

We had the potty book too – it definitely helped Erin understand what was happening! 🙂 she loved that the little girl looked like her!
Fantastic post, we aren't quite at potty training and I'm already dreading it. So great to read a post from someone in the know!

I don't think it'll be long before we do potty training again! The good thing about Toby is that he practically did all the work himself, although I think Ted might need some convincing! x
I dreaded potty training but I think if you're prepared and relaxed it shouldn't be too hard – you just have to wait for them to be ready. That Bumbo step and potty looks amazing! x
