Pour Moi | My Favourite DD+ Swimwear Brand

A black box labelled "Simply Beach Swim & Beachwear" sits on a patterned pink bedspread beside a DD+ swimwear red bikini set, a matching red bra, and a black bra.

Few of us can claim to actually enjoy bikini shopping. The stress of buying for a DD+ bust is even worse, as it’s not just a case of scrolling the net and picking one in a pretty colour, you have to look at support, coverage, hold, and whether you actually like the look, once all that is added in.

For us bigger busted ladies, flimsy triangles and bits of string do little to support, or hold in, the bust, and ones that come in dress sizes can just go straight out the window as they do not translate to bust size at all. Don’t even get me started on those of us who wear a different size up top to bottom, as that’s a whole other ball game.

Whether you’re lapping lengths or just lounging on a lilo on your holiday, feeling stylish and secure in supportive swimwear is a must for women with bigger busts. And if you’re looking for a bikini that offers both style and support, the choices seem few and far between, especially on the high street.

Online is the way to go nowadays, as places like Simply Beach stock such a huge range of swimwear, and the brand I’m championing at the moment is Pour Moi as they just seem to get it. They get that we women all come in different shapes and sizes. Some of us prefer a different support, coverage and design.

Pour Moi is a fully British brand, even if the name suggests otherwise. Every single piece of swimwear is designed and made here (in their Brighton HQ to be precise). It has the biggest range of bikinis I’ve seen with so much thought going into every detail, to make sure it is the best fabric, style and look for the woman wearing it.

I’ve picked out a couple of different styles to show off how varied the range is, and first up is the Pour Moi Glamazon Underwired Double Strap Top. This range is just stunning and gives off a stylish and sultry look with a deep red hue and mesh inserts. The adjustable shoulder straps with halter ties give optimal bust support and it has light padding for bust shape.

If you’re looking for a timeless design, then the Pour Moi Escape Sweetheart Lightly Padded Underwired Top is the perfect choice. With underwired padded cups that lift, shape and support the bust, it is super comfortable and gives amazing lift whilst still holding the breasts in, and up.

Not all of us want to wear a bikini all the time though and that’s where tankinis come in. Perfect for those of us who wear different sized tops to bottoms, but still give full coverage like a swimsuit. The Pour Moi Beach Bound Concealed Underwired Tankini is underwired for bust support and gives extra coverage whilst also having a plunging neckline and beautiful lace detail.

All three of these beauties have matching bottoms available, and they even come in different styles. Side tie, high waisted and even shorts giving so many options to choose from when it comes to picking out your swimwear.

My top tip… don’t just go for your normal bust size. I find that with bikinis, I have to size up to get the best fit. I am a size 36E in bras but wear a 36F in bikini tops as they just seem to fit better, hold more, and give better coverage. So always try a few different sizes to see which gives you the best fit!

  1. Lovely garments and lovely pics. Yes, it is very difficult to find suitable off-the-peg swimwear for larger busted ladies. Thanks for the intro to this brand.

  2. Like you tiny triangles and bits of string just don’t do enough. Love a proper fitting bra sized swim wear range. Have you ever noticed the DD+ Sizes and above always seem to sell out first?

  3. I always find it difficult and always end up buying Fantasie for my G cup. I'll have to check these out this summer. Thanks for the post
