It’s not often that I get some new clothes for myself. I’m on of those mums that is super tight when it comes to spending money on herself and then can spend like it’s water when buying for the kids. So when Nutmeg, the clothing range from Morrisons, asked if I’d like some of their outfits to try out from their brand new Nutmeg Women’s Collection, I snapped up the chance.
It seems that there’s a new contender in supermarket fashion as 50 selected Morrisons stores in the country debut the supermarket’s first ever women’s collection as part of its own label range of clothing, Nutmeg.
This brand new Spring/Summer collection, with pieces starting from just £3, is designed to include best-in-class, easy-to-wear modern essentials and will be available in sizes 8-22. As well as classics like jeans, soft tailored pieces and even a mac, shoppers can expect a nod to major trends including tropical prints, cold-shoulder tops and sports luxe.
Now I’m sure we all know just how successful the Nutmeg children’s label was, with lots of thoughtful details that made clothes easy to wear, and this range comes with it this same approach, Their active-wear, for example, include integrated tummy control panels, zip pockets, reflective details for night runs and a home for earphones.
I was sent 2 outfits from their new range. A gorgeous floral yellow dress, and a pair of skinny jeans with a clean cut white vest top. I chose clothing in my usual size (14 on the bottom and 16 to cover my bust) and all items fitted well.
The dress is so easy to wear and has an elasticated waist for the perfect fit. The yellow just oozes Summer as does the beautiful floral design. The flared material over the arms makes it perfect for women like me, who don’t really like showing the tops of my arms. I also love the material, it’s nice and light so perfect for summer wear. And the design is so nice that it could either be worn for a nice sunny walk along the beach, or dressed up for a summer party.
The second out, the jeans and top, were my favourite picks. The skinny jeans are made from a stretchy material, as is the vest top, so they fit really well. What’s more, once washed they don’t crease either which is a big plus for me as ironing is a no-no. The only problem I’ve found so far is that the vest top does go out of shape after a few hours of wear. It’s all good though, after being in the wash the shape comes back ready to be worn again.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of their clothing. To think that their range starts from just £3, it is all of great quality and there is so much to choose from.

I've never bought clothes from Morrison's, our nearest one is a half hour drive away, but I think I need to have a look, I love your jeans and cardigan, and I've seen their children's clothes which would be perfect for my girls, my son is 13 so prefers branded clothes now xXx
I havent bought from Morrisons yet but have noticed they have a good range of sizes that will cater for me! I will look for my holidays
