You know what it’s like these days, even at primary school level kids are getting more and more in to sport, especially at school. The boys school is no different and they work a lot of around sports based activities, outdoor work and they do P.E. at least twice a week.
I think it’s great that they go to a school that promotes a healthy lifestyle, filling up on Vitamin D outside rather than being stuck inside all the time in the classroom. So when it comes to their uniform, they have the regular school wear but they also have a choice of P.E. items that they need for when they’re outside, doing their thing.
There is no set uniform for this and they can pretty much wear anything on the bottom half although the school do prefer a basic tee or polo on the top half. I like to kit them out with everything they will need come rain or shine,a the British weather is just so damn unpredictable.
When Get The Label got in touch about working together on a feature, I thought this was the best time to get to grips with the boys P.E. gear and see what there is to offer on their website. Being a we’re a subsidiary of JD Sports, they specialise in sports fashion and footwear and offer amazing brands for kids and adults at great prices. Having a browse around their site, it was great to see that I could get the boys some labelled items that wouldn’t break the bank.
I picked out a few items and couldn’t believe that I could get all branded items, everything they would need plus more, for just over £50. So, what did I pick for their back to school wears? Here is what I got and what we thought.
Of course, the first thing I thought about was kids footwear, as not only is this something that the boys can wear for P.E., but if they’re black, they can also be worn in class too. I found these Adidas NEO Infant Boys Hoops VS Trainers which were the perfect fir for school and P.E. footwear and came in C’s size too.
With Velcro for easy fastening and a padded heel and ankle, I knew that having a pair of Adidas trainers would not only give him comfort and support that this brand offers but they would be robust and last a while too.
Deciding that looking for both a pair of shorts and a pair of sweatpants for when the weather changes, I scoped out the infant clothing section which shows products to fit children between the ages of 2 to 7. I found a pair of Converse Infant Boys Fleece Jog Pants and a pair of Nike SB Infant Boys Everett Jog Short
The Converse jog pants are classic fit bottoms and have an elasticated waist with thick drawstrings to allow for a perfect fit. With two open pockets on the front, another pocket on the rear right and Chuck Taylor branding which is featured on the front left pocket.
From Nike come these Everett Jog shorts in various different colour options. These shorts come with an elasticated waistband with an internal drawstring-cord for a cosy fit. This style also features two side pockets, raw edge hems and branding to the left leg. Made in a soft cotton jersey to provide comfort whilst being worn.
And obviously if the little ones are doing P.E. at school, there needs to be somewhere to store all this kit, so I checked out the boys accessories to see what GTL had on offer. Coming across a cute Converse Back To It Mini Back Backpack, I thought it would be a cool looking backpack for using at school. In a mini construction, this backpack is the perfect size for younger ones. Adjustable straps allows you be hands free and it has a zipped pouch to the front.
To end my GTL shopping spree, I thought it best to find a beanie for when the weather’s a bit colder and they need something tp cover their ears. Again, coming from Converse is this boys Logo Bobble Beanie Hat. With a bobble to the top and the logo knitted through the front, it is a snuggly warm way to keep the little ones protected from the chill.
I’m so glad that we are now fully P.E. ready for the new school year. Are you prepared yet?
