Celebrating The End of Term with Jack’s Supermarket

Advertorial Feature

Chicken breasts, burger patties, and skewer pieces from Jack's Supermarket are being grilled on an outdoor barbeque over open flames, making for a perfect End of Term celebration on a sunny day.

It’s Barbecue Time….

School’s out for summer and as the weather has been glorious all week we decided to celebrate with a barbecue. As the warmer weather moves in we will be having more and more meals al fresco. I don’t know about you but there is something relaxing about cooking and eating outdoors in the summer months. Sometimes we will have a big barbecue, like we have today another times we will just cook the meat on the grill and eat it with a salad or jacket potato.
Normally when we have a barbecue we invite family and friends around but everyone was working on this occasion so it was just the five of us – next time though we will definitely have a party with everyone so longs as there are no new restrictions in place.

We recently visited our local Jack’s Supermarket to stock up on everything we needed for our barbecue. We were spoilt for choice and picked up a range of breads, sauces, and meats.

Shelves at Jack's Supermarket display various packaged meats—sausages, burgers, and chicken—all labelled with prices and "fire up the BBQ" promotional signage for the End of Term. The shelves are well-stocked and organised.

If you’re planning a barbecue of your own soon why not head to your local store where Jack’s BBQ bundle can be found at the end of the chiller aisle. Here you will be able to pick up all your BBQ essentials for less than £20! In fact, all of the Fire Pit range is available from Jack’s stores, priced at only £2.99 per item.

I liked that the store had plenty to choose from and the shelves were well stocked. There was definitely something for everyone and if you needed charcoal or a barbecue, they had those in stock too. We bought beef steaks, burgers, sausages, pork loins, chicken kebabs and chicken breasts, cheeses, accompaniments, and drinks – everything you could possibly want for a barbecue.

Get ready for your End of Term barbeque with this assortment from Jack’s Supermarket: burger buns, cheese slices, pre-packed meats, condiments like tomato ketchup and mayonnaise, plus packs of burger toppings—all displayed on a glass table.

We always buy barbecue staple items such as burgers and sausages. The kids love them and I honestly don’t think you can go far wrong with a good burger topped with melted cheese and ketchup. Whilst we were shopping we noticed the Fire Pit cheese melts, these cheese with caramelised onion melts are a game changer and will definitely be an addition to future barbecues for us.
If chicken tickles your taste buds, why not try the Garlic and Herb Kebabs, or the Peri Peri chicken steaks.

If beef is your thing, the salt & pepper thin cut beef steaks are the one for you! Or indulge in the sweet but Smokey BBQ beef kebabs.

A collage of four photos shows chicken breasts, beefburgers, and skewered meat grilling on a barbecue with visible grill marks and flames—perfect for an End of Term celebration with finds from Jack's Supermarket.

In our house we love pork loins cooked on the grill and the Maple BBQ flavoured ones didn’t disappoint. In fact everything we bought tasted great and we would highly recommend.

If you prefer a good old burger and a banger on your barbie you won’t be let down by Jacks supersized packs – a 12 pack of beef burgers is just £5 whilst the 12 pack of chipolatas are priced at £1.99.

Our verdict:

The bread, meats, and cheese taste great, have long use by dates on them and are good value for money. As a family of five having a barbecue can often be costly but not anymore thanks to Jack’s.

When you have a barbecue what are your must have items? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
