An Update On My Silk’n Lipo Trial

I have always had issues with my body. From niggles with my weight to loathing what child bearing did to my body. It has been an issue I have always hated and have always dreamt of being one of those people that was just able to love her body for what an amazing thing it is, but I’m just not one of those people.

I found myself trying diets, exercises, anything to help. And although these did work, when you stop, it all comes back. Going to the gym is a good thing to do, but it’s not always practical to do when you’re a busy working parent. 

So that’s why I opted to try out Silk’n Lipo, which utilises innovative technologies for a painless reduction of body fat, without unpleasant side effects. I was asked to take part in a 10 weeks trial, to wear the Silk’n Lipo 3 times a week during this time and write about the results and how it works for me. I wrote about my decision of combating my body issues with the help of Silk’n Lipo back then when I started using it. 

Just to give you a quick recap about the Silk’n Lipo. It works in 2 ways, Low Level Laser Therapy and Effective Electric Muscle Stimulation:

What is Low Level Laser Therapy?

Low Level Laser Therapy in Silk’n Lipo applies laser in a certain wavelength. When applied to adipocyte cells (fat cells) it ensures the perforation of fat cell membranes, causing the fat cells to “leak”. Over time, and with repeated use, fat cells are affected. This results in fat loss in the treated area and a loss of centimetres. 

What is Electric Muscle Stimulation?

To facilitate the fast removal of extracted fatty acids from the body, Silk’n Lipo combines LLLT with Electric Muscle Stimulation. EMS is based on the application of electrical pulses through electrodes on the skin, ensuring muscle activity in the treated area. Muscle activity contributes to muscle tone, as well as faster blood circulation and lymphatic activity. EMS stimulates the body’s processes for waste disposal, including fatty contents that leak out of the perforated fat cells. 

Both technologies are clinically proven to be effective and safe to use. This means that Silk’n Lipo reduces stubborn fat, whilst it trains and tones the underlying muscles at the same time. So both technologies work together to help you lose the inches. And to aid this process, it is recommended that you to drink enough water before and after the treatment.

What drew me to the Silk’n Lipo most was the fact that you can wear it whenever, where ever, and it doesn’t stop you from doing anything at all. You just set it to work and can get on with your daily tasks – cleaning, working on my laptop, reading to the kids, all can be done whilst the Silk’n Lipo does its stuff. 

And how easy it is to use. Once it’s charged, you just wet the back plates, attach them to the machines and put it on. Hold the middle button on each device to switch them on and then press the + buttons till they’re at your desired amount. Just make sure not to press them too quick and go too far, as you might get a shock. That’s it. They’ll then get to work for 15 minutes, buzzing every minute to count down, and then switching themselves off at the end of the run. 

You can then just move them to another part of your body, taking care not to overlap on parts you’ve just done, making sure to wet the back plates each time. It’s that easy. After the first few weeks of getting used to using the Silk’n Lipo, I found myself forgetting that I was wearing it, just getting on with life, and only realising when it buzzed to finish. 

The Silk’n Lipo holds its charge really well and is so small and flat, that I even packed it when we went to Spain last month. As you’ll see in the photo above, I wore it whilst wearing my bikini to give me a 15 minute blast before going to play in the pool. 

I’ve not measured myself since starting the trial, and am instead going to use my starting measurements, and see how they have changed at the end of my 10 week trial. I’ll bring you my last update at the end of this month. With before and after photos, to see if there’s a change in my measurements, and my thoughts on the Silk’n Lipo after using it for the full trial.
