OSMO Hair Care Range

They say that the hair is an extension of your personality and I think this is so true. I mean, when I’m having a fun month, I’ll tint my hair pink. But then in winter, I’ll go a shade darker, and in the summer, I like to go light.
I have been blonde my whole life though. Starting out natural – I have a dull blonde natural colour – but then going lighter as I got older as my ashy locks left me feeling a little boring. At the moment, my hair is really light blonde in a balayage style and is hard to maintain. Going lighter blonde means trying to combat the yellowing that comes with it.
And with the fact that we recently went on holiday and I spent most of my time in the sun, sea and chlorine, it’s safe to say that brassiness arrived at my doorstep and left my hair looking awful, and horribly dry too.

When OSMO contacted me to try out some of their products, made specifically for hair like mine, I really wanted to put them through their paces, using them on my post-holiday dry, brassy hair.
The first obvious product I have to talk about, is the OSMO Super Silver No Yellow shampoo, as it’s a product that I already use, and swear by, as it’s just so amazing. It is specifically formulated for superlightened, grey and bleached hair tones, so ideal for my balayage ends.
Formulated with super violet pigments to neutralise unwanted yellow tones, Super Silver transforms hair colour to reveal cool silver/ash tones for a more even colour balance.
If you’ve not used it before then it’s best to be prepared. This isn’t like any regular purple shampoo, it’s hardcore stuff. If you don’t take care then it’ll dye your hands, your bath, and your whole bathroom as it’s strong arsed stuff. Wear gloves, otherwise you’ll end up with purple hands, and use it exactly how it says, as if you leave it on too long you will get a lilac tinge to your hair.
So I personally shampoo my hair with a regular shampoo first, just to get off any dirt from my hair, and then go in with the Super Silver, leaving it on for around 3 minutes. I originally did it for a minute at a time until I got used to how well my hair could take it.
Rinsing it off, I then mask my hair with the OSMO Super Silver No Yellow mask, which is an intensely hydrating, sulphate free treatment, infused with super violet pigments to replenish lost moisture and neutralise any yellow tones.
Working alongside the shampoo, this mask really does make a difference. The shampoo can be really strong and dry out the hair a little so this mask is ideal for bringing back the moisture and leaving hair feeling nourished, healthy and more radiant. I leave this on for 5 minutes, and brush my hair gently half way through to help it smooth out my locks.
Towel drying my hair, and then giving it a quick allover with my hair dryer, I then use the OSMO Extreme Volume Root Lifter to amplify my roots and give all the volume. I really need this as my hair can look a little lifeless sometimes, and very flat too.
This spray is lightweight so doesn’t bring the hair down, and has amazing hold which is long lasting. With extracts of sandalwood to moisturise and condition the hair to help improve the health of the scalp, and bergamot to control the production of excess sebum which weighs hair down.
And it really makes a difference. My thick hair feels lighter, it feels bigger, it feels fuller without being dull, flat and boring.
Lastly, I’ve been using OSMO Blinding Shine Serum to really bring that shine to my hair. Now this is like a miracle in a bottle. This little bottle of serum provides fantastic shine and frizz free results, with such a lightweight formula.
You can apply this serum in 2 ways. Either distribute it evenly through partially dried hair, concentrating on the ends too, then comb through and blowdry for a smooth, sleek look. Or, skim over the ends of dry hair for a glossy finish.
I’ve tried both ways with this potion, and prefer to put it on already dried hair, as it just knocks all the frizz straight out, whilst making my hair shiny and glossy, and so beautiful.
Since I’ve started using more of the OSMO products, my hair has felt amazing, and looked so good. And being honest, OSMO can be a little hard to get hold of as they’re not really available on the high street with them being a professional product. You can purchase them in hair salons, and specialist places, but I prefer to order direct from Amazon as they also stock the range too and deliver it straight to your door.
If you are looking for a hair care range that packs a punch and really brings the colour, shine and volume, then OSMO is the one for you. They also do products for colouring, prepping, and styling your hair, and grooming too. So they really do have everything to take care of your hair.
