Can you believe we are in September already? I’ve said it a lot, but it is crazy how fast this year is flying by. I know it’s too early to mention but I have been working on my Christmas gift guides and I can’t wait to share them with you in November. So far, we have some lovely products to showcase and I think that when you see the guides you will agree that there are some lovely gifts and I hope they give you some help if you are struggling with gift ideas.
But before any of that, I have one of my regular features to share with you. Regular readers will know I often feature Femmeluxe here on Adventures of a Yorkshire Mum. They offer great quality clothes at low prices from denim shorts and little black dresses to chunky knit jumpers and jeans. This month I’ve chosen 3 of my favourite items to share with you.
I’m happy to report that bootcut and flared trousers are
back! Yes, you read that right! Now don’t get me wrong I love my skinny jeans
but bootcut jeans will always be my favourite type of jeans. They look great
with heels or trainers, and I personally think they flatter any figure. I am
loving these Blue Multi-Colour Ribbed High Waisted Flare Leg Trousers at the
minute. They have a high waist, a flattering flare leg. They are versatile and
can be worn in a number of ways. Why not team them with a halter neck crop top and
wedge sandals.
If you’re a fan of Tartan print these next trousers are for
you. I love these grey Tartan Print High Waisted Trousers. They have a high
elasticated waist with a tie front and a fitted leg fit. Why not style them
with a matching top and a pair of heels. They’d be perfect for the office
or a night out on the town. These trousers are available in sizes 6 – 12.
My last item this month is a Bardot Off The Shoulder Frill
Detail Crop Top. I love how a Bardot top sits and this top is no exception. It
fits close to your body and makes you look and feel like a million dollars. You
could team it with either of the trousers I’ve already mentioned or even a pair
of skinny jeans. It is the perfect top to wear to a concert, whilst out for
drinks with the girls or even date night at the cinema.
This week I have waved the kids off to school and college
and I won’t lie it has been utter bliss. Don’t get me wrong I love them to bits
but they have driven me mad during the holidays. We have all needed the space
from each other and we are praying that we don’t have any more periods of homeschooling. But the fact there has been no arguing, no demands and no Fortnite
or Minecraft talk and I’ve been able to have a cup of tea and read my book in
peace has been amazing. I’ve been able to catch up with some of my programmes
on the TV planner and I am finally up to date on all my soaps – this is almost
unheard of but the planner is now only 65% full rather than teetering on 90%
and threatening to delete programmes to make room for others.
Tonight, I plan to veg on the sofa with my husband and
watch Lucifer we are huge fans and can’t wait to watch this new season which is
also the last season. I do like September though as it means new seasons of my
favourite programmes start in the US which means it’s not going to be long
before we get them here in the UK too.
Next month I will hopefully be sharing with you some items
from Femmeluxe that are suitable for the cooler days that will soon be upon us.
I can’t wait to get my jumper dresses, lined tights and boots out of the
wardrobe ready.
What have you been up to this week? Have you also waved the
kids off to school this week? Are you planning to update your wardrobe ready
for the cooler days?
