My Top 2 Summer Fashion Choices

There are so many spring/summer 2019 trends, what's been featured on the catwalk, snapped in magazines, or hitting up our feeds on Instagram. And this isn't just a case of saying what you see, I'm talking about a proper look at those key pieces that you'll want to buy, the old ones you'll be digging out again, the new styling tricks that will turn everything around.

Bodysuits
I know, right? I've always known bodysuits as something you wear under your clothing. To give you a bit of shape. Or along the other lines, to give off sexy vibes in the bedroom. But nowadays, typically the most practical reason for wearing a bodysuit is to have a tucked in top look without having to worry about it becoming untucked at all.

For practical reasons it stays tucked in and offers a seamless look and you can’t beat the smooth, chic look of a bodysuit. It hugs your body like a glove. Everyone and their famous friends have been seen sporting the bodysuit trend: Gigi Hadid, Vanessa Hudgens, and all the Kardashians (how ever many of them there are!), so it goes to show that it really is a big trend of the year.

The fit is flattering too. They're the ideal 'top' for high-waisted shorts, jeans or skirts, as shown in my photos. Or even to get some coverage. Bodysuits are great for wearing underneath a sheer blouse or gown as they're skintight and stay out of the way and let the sheer layer on top really stand out.

Slogan Tops
Now, this is totally the opposite of bodysuits, but print tops are the most amazing way to look dressed up, or down, and can be worn for really any scenario. So whether it's a political or a fashion statement you want to make, may I suggest you say it with a slogan this year.

You can even wear them to show off your own views with the writing you have on them. I mean, the words on a garment can help bring about social and cultural change if the right people wear them. These pieces of clothing that have been allowing us to subtly send messages since as far back as the 1960s.

But, nowadays, it doesn't always need to be a political statement. It can be something fun, something important to you, or anything really. You can wear them dressed up with jeans and heels, with a skirt and pumps for a dressed down look, or even at the gym, with a fitness slogan. It all just depends on your style.

So, if you're looking for my take on the fashion choices this year, go for a bodysuit, or a slogan tee. They're both totally different options, but work so well in so many ways...
