Unicorns vs Dinosaurs: The Best Gifts For Kids This Summer

*AD It’s no secret that dinosaurs and unicorns are some of the most popular themed characters and are beloved by children everywhere. Unicorns are so popular that they’re used all over the place in children-related products, clothing and toys, and even in advertisements, such as the BBC Bitesize commercials. Let’s not forget about dinosaurs though –  I can easily say that not a day goes by where I don’t spy a dinosaur as I go about my daily life as a parent. Plus, with the new dinosaur exhibit that’s been recently unveiled at London’s Natural History Museum, dinosaurs are bound to get even more popular over the course of the…

Toys and Games We’re Loving This Month

Can you believe that we are almost in April? I’m looking forward to the lighter nights and warmer days so I can get to the bottom of my washing pile and sort the garden out. The boys on the other hand are looking forward to days out with their friends and being able to play with some of their new toys both in the house and in the garden. Whilst the weather is still so hit and miss and a little on the chilly side we tend to spend more time indoors, Nowadays they spend a lot of time on their consoles but there was a time when they’d love…

    The Big 2… Oh!

Isn’t it funny how life just seems to fly past sometimes? Charlie will be turning 2 year old on Wednesday and I really don’t know where the time has gone. It seems like only last week that we were bringing him home from the hospital to meet his big brother for the first time. It feels like we have done nothing in these 2 years and like I have blinked my eyes and flown forward in time. So, like any other parent usually does in these younger years, I’ve planned a little tea party for Charlie so we can all celebrate his birthday. Of course all the family will be…

    Play to Learn by TOMY

Any toys that are educational are ideal in my eyes. Not only do children get to play and have some fantastic toys, but they also learn in the process. What’s not to love? The TOMY Play to Learn range is just that.  A range of toys which not only come in different shapes and sizes, but are also perfect for learning and growing a child’s mind. So when we were sent some of this range to review, I couldn’t wait to get to grips and help the boys in learning new things.  Pic ‘n’ Pop This is a lovely toy. Not only do children get to run around the…

    Winnie The Pooh by TOMY

Both Thomas and Charlie love watching cartoons on television and so having toys that are associated with the programmes are a big plus. Winnie the Pooh has been a family friend for years and both boys love it too. I find that it’s a great bedtime cartoon as it’s settling and helps the boys relax before bed. We were sent some of the new Winnie the Pooh range from TOMY to review that are great for young children, probably for ones aged around the same as Charlie. I couldn’t wait to get them out and get playing, for Charlie of course (I’m a big kid at heart). TOMY have always…

    Munchkin Bath Toys

Both Thomas and Charlie love being in the bath. Usually it takes me ages to get them to get out once they’re in and that’s thanks to Munchkins bath toys. We were lucky to be sent 3 items from the Munchkin bath range. They were: Shampoo Rinser The one part of getting a bath my boys hate is getting there hair washed. Thanks to Munchkin that’s no longer a problem. You see, the Munchkin jug is flexible which means that when usually the water will run out all over the boys faces, now the jug flexes into the forehead and the water just rinses off the back of the head.…
