Unique Gift Ideas for the Man Who Has Everything

The kids are back at school (hooray!), the evenings are getting dark earlier (boo!) and the winter wardrobe is back. It may feel like it was just yesterday that you were organising everything for last Christmas and yet here it is again! It is now less than three months until Christmas Day, which means for many mums, it is now time to start thinking about gift ideas.

The kids’ presents are taken care of with their Santa List or the constant ‘Mum, I want this for Christmas!’ that you will hear for the next 3 months. However, if you are someone that always struggles to buy gifts for your husband, dad, brother or anyone else we have some ideas to help you out this year:

Sports Event or Merchandise – Whether he is a huge Leeds United fan or likes to spend Sundays at the local golf club, if he loves sports he will love a gift related to this. Tickets to a match always go down well or take a look at the club website for clothes collections that he might like. The even do retro style clothing or historic memorabilia that any big fan would appreciate. If he is a golfer, cyclist, runner etc. head to a sports shop website for some inspiration like the latest gadget or something to keep him warm through the winter months.

Jewellery – If he likes accessories like men’s leather bracelets or he needs a new watch then there are lots of new jewellery ranges out this year. He could be at the height of fashion with a woven leather bracelet or maybe the latest smartwatch, depending on how far you are stretching the budget. You can get smartwatches from less than £100 now and if he is a gadget lover then this could be the perfect gift.

Whiskey Decanter Set – If he appreciates a good whiskey then maybe you could treat him to a nice decanter set? You can get a traditional style set such as Royal Doulton Crystal or go for something a bit more fun like a Stormtrooper decanter for the Star Wars fanatic. There are loads of really unique styles out there to suit even the pickiest of men!

Plug and Play Retro TV Games – Take him back to his childhood with a Plug and Play Retro TV Games set. With 200 games included and all you need to do is plug it into the TV, he will have hours of fun. As an added bonus, maybe he will be happier to stay in with the kids whilst you have a night out with the girls!

Experience Days – The experience day vouchers are becoming more and more popular. Gifts can be forgotten but a day doing a once in a lifetime experience is going to be remembered for a long time. A ride in a hot air balloon, driving a supercar, flying a plane and 4x4 off-road driving are just a few of the many exciting experiences you could surprise him with.

Lads Day Out – Escape game experiences are the new craze for stag dos and group activities, so if this sounds like his kind of thing you could treat him to a day out with his mates at Crystal Maze or similar venues. He might appreciate a gents day out at the races for a chance to put on his finest for a special occasion!

Hopefully, that will have given you some good inspiration to find the perfect gift for that man who is so hard to buy for. Remember, if you get him a really good present he may be inspired to up the ante with your gifts next time around!
