As a blogger, there are many times that I need to print things out, copy sheets and scan leaflets, so that I can get all of my posts written up, as well as doing a lot of the work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.
When I had the chance to review the Epson EcoTank ET-3600 I couldn't wait to give it a go as it meant that I could do all of this with one machine, and the fact that it uses less ink was a plus for me.
The Epson EcoTank ET-3600 offers a hassle-free and low-cost solution for everyday printing at home. The ultra-high-capacity ink tank system eradicates the need for cartridges, freeing the user from cartridge purchases and replacements. What's more, the ET-3600 comes with two sets of high-volume ink bottles, enough to print up to an impressive 11,000 pages in black and colour.
This means it provides an extremely low cost per page and is capable of printing many more pages between refills, reducing printing costs by up to 70% on average. The printer also automatically prints on both sides of a page, cutting paper usage in half and reducing running costs even further.
For ease of use, the ET-3600 is also equipped with Wi-Fi which allows me to connect easily from my laptop, and I can also use Epson's iPrint app for Apple and Android devices to print documents directly, and send items by email straight from my phone.
I found that it was really easy to set up too. Even a techno-phobe like me managed to get it up and running without fuss. Just pop the wire into your computer, let the installation do it's thing and then fill up the inks and you're practically good to go.
What I love about this machine is that it's not only a printer. It copes and scans too. The 1,200 dpi scanner means that I can easily send important documents to my computer without a fuss and the two-line LCD screen makes it simple to use and see what's going on.
The Scan to Cloud option is perfect for me as it uploads scans directly to my cloud storage. I use Dropbox but there are many others it sends to too such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. The printer also has an SD card reader for printing straight from there. great if you want to bypass the sending to desktop stage as the printer can stand alone, do this without the need for a computer.
The printer discretely fits around 150 pages of paper inside the tray, ready to print. Hiding the paper underneath means that it has a more streamline look. Perfect for that new 'bloggers office' that I'm hoping to get!
This innovative and eco-friendly printer really proves that we’re heading in the right direction where technology is concerned. And for even more peace of mind, the ET-3600 comes with a extended warranty of up to three years or 50,000 pages.
