Celebrating New Years Eve At Home? Then Here Are My Must Haves!

I don't know about you lot, but when it comes to New Years Eve I just can't hack the going out stuff any more. All that having to get dressed up, dolled up and actually manage to stay awake until midnight is hard work - especially when you have kids.

As they say, staying in is the new going out and so this year we will be spending our night at home, with the boys and a few friends so we can sing and dance the night away with the company that we love. So I wanted to show you our idea of fun with a list of what my must haves are!

Keep Strangers Away! Unmissable Tips You Need To Make Your Home Safe For Your Kids

It’s always a worry for parents about who is looking in your home. After all, so many people walk past your property on a daily basis. And they could potentially be looking in and seeing your kids. And for a lot of abductions in the UK, the person actually takes kids from their own home! Therefore, you need to protect your kids so that this doesn’t happen to your family. To ensure strangers stay away, here are some unmissable tips you need to make your home safe for your kids.

Cadbury Reveals Cadvent Knitwear Collection

For years now, Cadbury has been well known for helping families celebrate Christmas with their seasonal ranges of chocolate and goodies. I mean, every year I cannot wait until the Cadbury Heroes tubs are released so I can stuff my face with all their lovely chocolate - and maybe share one or two of them too.

And now as Christmas draws near, Cadbury announces its first move into festive fashion with the introduction of a chunky knitted scarf and a winter woolly hat. Both in trademark purple Cadbury colour, these must-have accessories come with hidden compartments including a scarf with deep 18cm pockets that can conceal even the most pleasurable of Secret Santa presents

New Year's Resolutions You Need To Make - For Your Home!

The new year is now just around the corner - it's hard to believe we are almost into 2017! The year goes by so fast and before we know it, Christmas is over and we're already back to work. This can be pretty disheartening, but the start of a new year doesn't always mean doom and gloom. It is also a great time to make new plans and to set new challenges for yourself.

Most of us make at least one New Year's resolution and they can give us the motivation to pursue something for the rest of the year. If you're struggling to think of a resolution to make this year, why not look to your home for inspiration? Unless you've just literally had a remodel, everyone's house could do with a little TLC. Take advantage of the January sales and make the new year the time to do it.

Epson EcoTank ET-3600

As a blogger, there are many times that I need to print things out, copy sheets and scan leaflets, so that I can get all of my posts written up, as well as doing a lot of the work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.

When I had the chance to review the Epson EcoTank ET-3600 I couldn't wait to give it a go as it meant that I could do all of this with one machine, and the fact that it uses less ink was a plus for me.

It's Now Or Never: Get Into The Christmas Spirit

The countdown has already started, and every single shop is playing Christmas carols - to be fair to them, most shops had started months ago with the carols, but you would have surely noticed. Yet sometimes looking at the calendar is not enough to feel excited about Christmas and get into the festive spirit.

But don’t despair: You are not on your own here. Many individuals are too stressed to probably give in to the Christmas spirit. Who can blame you? There’s still a lot of shopping, racing against time, and last-minute work projects to do before you can sit down enjoy your traditional sprouts and bread sauce. Here are a few tips though to help you get into the spirit before it’s too late. After all, it would be a real pity if you couldn’t enjoy Christmas!

Sick Of Waiting For A Home That Just Isn't Selling?

You stand to make a lot of money from selling your home, but if you’re unprepared, don’t expect to get the cash in your hand just yet. A lot of people dive into selling without the right preparation. Which means they’re going to be dealing with a lot of busy work before anything can be finalised. You want the sale of the home to be as quick and painless as possible, right? Here’s how you turn the odds of that possibility in your favour.

Games Night In with The Entertainer

With autumn in full swing and winter just around the corner, there's nothing better than a cosy night in with the whole family enjoying fun and games. Last month, The Entertainer sent us a box full of goodies for a Games Night In with all the necessities for a fun evening together.

We opened up the box and inside was the oh so funny game Gooey Louie as well as a whole assortment of treats for the kids to enjoy during our games night in.

Home Improvements To Make When Growing Your Family (And Ways To Afford Them!)

It’s such an exciting time when you find out you are having another baby. After all, you are growing your family which is amazing. And your children can’t wait to have a new sibling to play with. However, it’s always a good idea to update your home when a new baby is coming along. After all, you don’t always have the space for another little one straight away. So you need to free up space, so there is room for the new baby. But you don’t always have the funds to do it, especially with the costs of another child on the way. Therefore, here are some home improvements to make when growing your family, and ways to afford them.

Little Design Touches That Go A Long Way

As you think about the design for your home, you’re probably thinking about the overall look and feel that you want to achieve. When you have that in mind, you want to try your hardest to get every part of the design process to live up to what you’ve envisioned. Sometimes, it can be hard to make everything stick, and you end up with a space that isn’t quite right.

When that happens, you need to take a step back and think about what you can do to put it right. At times like this, more often than not, you can do a lot by changing just a little. It’s the same with upgrading your current space. You may not want to undergo a complete redecorating process, but small changes can help you out.

WTBW | Rockabye Originals

I love clothing for the boys that are different. I don't particularly like to stick to the rules when it comes to clothing and so they regularly wear leggings and even onesies. I think it's great to give them a sense of style from a young age. To let them pick their own clothes and to stand out from the crowd.

When I was introduced to Rockabye Originals, I was in awe of their designs and couldn't wait for our parcel to arrive so I could kit the boys out in some new threads.

Finding Family Photographers with Bidvine

As a parent, I don't always have time to go scouring the net to find people and services I need. Take photographing for instance. It's hard trying to find someone local, never mind someone who suits your budget and what you want with the photos.

People have different ideas and so it's great when you finally find that photographer who sees what you see and understands exactly what you want and when you want it.

So, because I've been looking for someone to photograph the kids and was getting no where, I took to Bidvine - which is a website you can use to hire local, trusted service professionals and it's ridiculously simple to use.

The Six Point Playground Safety Checklist

For parents, letting our children play outside is a big thing, and understanding playground safety is important. Did you know that 40,000 children injure themselves on playgrounds each and every year? Despite this, there are many reasons kids should play outdoors, from improving their physical health to boosting their mental capacity through problem solving and social skills.

To keep your children safe at playgrounds and facilities, Infinite Playgrounds, providers of playground design and natural play areas, have designed a handy checklist to make sure you know exactly what it's like when you arrive there.

Growing Your Assets: Home Renovations That Are Always Worth The Hassle

As a homeowner, you have a valuable asset. Investing in bricks and mortar is often one of the best ways to protect your future, and boost the value of your estate in the long-term. Buying a house can often make financial sense, but there are usually things you can do to grow your assets. If you’re searching for ways to enhance the value of your home, here are some renovations that are always the hassle.

Extensions
Nowadays, there’s a growing market for properties that offer spacious living areas. If you extend your home, you open yourselves up to a larger market, and you can make your home stand out from the crowd. Extending is also a great way of adapting your home to suit the changing needs of your family. If you’re preparing to welcome a new baby, for example, you don’t always have to consider moving. A single or double-storey extension could provide you with the extra space you require. The profit you could make by adding an extension will vary depending on the build cost, and the sale price. It’s always beneficial to get a number of quotes from building firms before you make a decision and to ask estate agents to estimate the difference an extension could make.

Emilio Luca X Charlie Boots from Brantano

It's not often that I get new things for myself. I mean, the kids always seem to need something new so I end up bottom of the pile. So when I got the chance to receive a very new pair of ladies boots from Brantano for myself, I jumped at the chance.

After much searching around their site, and changing my mind too many times to count, I eventually settled on the Emilio Luca X Charlie Boots in taupe.

Educational Christmas Gifts for Children

When looking for Christmas gifts for children, I always like to add an educational aspect to them. Yeah, there are so many fun toys and gifts for children, but if they give an helping hand in teaching and helping children learn new things, then I'm all for it.

So today I am showing off what is on the market in my Educational Christmas Gifts for Children feature...

WTBW | Mountain Warehouse Steve Backshall Collection

Now that T is getting a little older, he like to pick out his own clothing and pick stylish items rather than the bright patterns and funky slogans that his younger siblings go for. He loves animals though and so when Mountain Warehouse got in touch about their new kids collaboration with adventurer and explorer, Steve Backshall, I knew their clothing would be something that he would lobe to wear.

Following the success of the first collection for SS16, Steve is back with a second range for AW16. For children aged between 7-13 years, the collection has been made with the aim to encourage kids back outside and capture the spirit of adventure through design and functionality.

One Magical City | TriBeCa Pizzeria, Liverpool

After our long day enjoying ourselves in Liverpool, we were ready for a feast and so off we ventured to TriBeCa for a family meal. TriBeCa is a New York inspired bar and pizzeria that offers a selection of unique handmade pizzas that cater for every taste.

This was a place that we couldn't wait to visit as all of the boys love pizzas - even T, the fussiest of all. Located about a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street, TriBeCa is just off the way from the hustle and bustle of the centre and so has a much more relaxed atmosphere.

One Magical City | DreamWorks Lights, Liverpool

After our lovely evening in Liverpool, and spending the morning shopping and playing on the rides, we had tickets booked for DreamWorks Lights and so off we popped to St Georges Hall to see them in all of their glory.

In this UK first, St George’s Hall welcomes DreamWorks Lights - a stunning walkthrough lantern experience for all ages. We popped by the Christmas market on the way in which is situated just in front of the building.

One Magical City | Celebrating Christmas in Liverpool

It's not often that we are invited on press trips to place but last week we were invited over to Liverpool to see what they had to offer over the Christmas period. Now, if you read my blog then you'll know that we have visited Liverpool a couple of times over the past few months and it is somewhere that we adore. So obviously I said yes and off we popped on the train to visit the magical city.

It seems like Liverpool comes alive at Christmas time. I mean, I've never seen so many lights and sparkle as I did last weekend. So festive, so pretty and so much to do, even for the little ones.

The Education Dilemma: How Do You Build Your Children's Future With Brexit?

As the UK is getting ready for the Article 50 next year, parents are wondering already how the Brexit strategy will impact their lives and the one of their children. While there is no certainty at the moment, it is important to be aware of the potential risks for their future, and to take now the best dispositions to avoid the worst case scenario on the behalf of your children. This, naturally, does not mean stopping Brexit. This means understanding what might happen for your children and making sure that you plan your options in advance.

The Ultimate Bedroom Makeover For A Good Night Sleep

On average, you spend six to eight hours in your bedroom per day. In short, a third of our day is spent in one single room in the house. When you know how important a good night sleep is in your everyday life, you cannot ignore the bedroom any longer. The bedroom is the room is the house that needs to feel altogether relaxing and welcoming; it needs to help you take off your mind of the pressure and worries of the day and prepare you to start a brand new day feeling refreshed and healthy. Does it do all of that for you? No? Then you need to give your bedroom a makeover.

Sitting Pretty: What To Look For When Buying A New Sofa

All of a sudden you’ve realised your current sofa’s looking a bit tatty and could do with an upgrade. Trouble is you’re not sure what you’re looking for, everything seems to be the same and the sale price appears to be different to the one you were quoted. Don’t worry, as thanks to our fantastic three-step guide, you’ll soon be ordering a brand new couch with confidence and all in time for Christmas too.

Normalising Intimate Health Conversations with Canesten

As women, we grow up having to learn a lot about our bodies from a young age. As soon as we hit the teenage years it becomes apparent that we don't get an easy ride of things and have to deal with periods, cramps, and feeling comfortable within our own body as all this is happening.

A lack of formal intimate health education during puberty means that when symptoms of vaginal conditions appear, it can cause worry and many teenage girls have to figure it out for themselves what happens to them.

Winter Sports Your Kids Should Try At Least Once

Now that the summer is far behind us, you might think that there aren’t so many opportunities to take the kids on an adventure. But ask any parent in Canada, Russia or the Nordics when the real sporting season starts, and they’ll tell you it’s the winter. Heck, we even have an entire Olympic games dedicated to winter sports, so there must be something pretty special about them.

Winter sports are a great opportunity for kids, and parent, to try something new, do something different, and otherwise have an epic time once the mercury dips and the snow starts falling.

Simple (& Affordable) Fixes For A Family Home That Lacks Kerb Appeal

When you’ve got a family to take care of, your priorities change, and rightly so. Time becomes of the essence, with very little time for yourself, as most of your time is taken up by your little ones. Then there’s the fact that as well as a lack of time, you most probably also have a lack of money - raising a family doesn’t come cheap.

For these reasons, often when we have a young family and are just beginning to navigate our way through parenthood, our homes suffer. Admittedly, the insides of our homes tend to look picture-perfect - we pay more attention to these as we spend most of our time inside our homes. However, this means that often, the outsides of our homes can be neglected and can lack curb appeal.

From Everyday Use To Everyday Useless

A Few Creative Ways To Make Your Home More Welcoming

Whether you have guests over regularly or not, it’s a good idea to make your home as welcoming as you can. After all, arriving home to an atmosphere you love is a great feeling! Here are a few creative ways to make your home more welcoming:

Add Character With Architecture
A home that’s full of character is always a welcoming home. See if you can add some character with architecture first. Maybe a crumbling brick wall and wooden ceiling beams could add that something special you need. There are ways of faking it if your home didn’t come with it when you bought. It can really make your home feel cosy and delightful!

It's Cold Outside! Protecting Your Home From The Winds Of Winter

The winds of winter have defeated many great men and become the enemy of many homes worldwide. A vicious chill or draft is the main weapon of these winds, as they seek any opening in your home that they can plunge their icy breath into.

Despite it being cold outside, and really cold at that, you don’t have to fall prey to winter. If you already are, then it’s time to stand up and fight. Protecting your home from winter doesn’t have to be an arduous task, but it can be if you choose to delay. There are plenty of New Year’s resolutions you can undertake for your home, but if your forget to winterproof it, you’ll be too cold to act on these!

Vileda Windomatic Window Vacuum Cleaner

Recently I was asked if I would like to try out one of Vileda's newest products, the Vileda Windomatic and I must admit that I jumped at the chance as I love anything that helps me get the tedious chores done more quicker.

Having young children and big windows doesn't mix at all. We usually end up with finger marks and even faces squished up against the glass when they're peeking outside. Don't even get me started on the patio doors!

Gizmo the Pug Saves Christmas

Christmas adverts are a big thing nowadays. We always watch for the new adverts arriving and seeing what theme they've chose to go for each year. Following on from A Pug’s Christmas last year, Vision Direct's new advert builds on the themes of fun, surprise and warmth that were well received by its audience last year, continuing with the Pug theme.

Vision Direct, the UK’s largest online only retailer of contact lenses, glasses and eye care, is excited to release its Christmas advert for 2016. Gizmo Saves Christmas plays on the familiar theme of festive neighbourhood rivalry as well as the age old dog vs. cat debate.

Decor for House and Home This Christmas

Now let's just say that I am slightly obsessed with Christmas. If my husband would let me, I'd be like one of those eccentric Americans that decorate the life out of their home with lights and glitter. I mean, Christmas is a time for fancy baubles, funky lighting and Santa's galore.

So today I am showing off what decor is available out there for house and home this Christmas...

Staying On Top After Having A Baby

Have you just given birth and unsure what to do next? You've carried this baby inside of you for 9 months and done everything humanly possible to keep it safe and happy. But now he or she is here, in the real world, crying...

Don't worry; you'll be on top of things in no time

Bonding
After you've had your baby, you are not going to want to leave their side. Giving birth is such an intimate moment between a Mother and a child, no words can explain it until it happens to you. You've carried this tiny human inside of you for 9 months, you've grown with it, (literally). And now they're here, just like magic!

The Full Heck Deck from HECK

Being a mum to 3 children, I am very conscious of the fact that we need to know where our food has come from and how it has been made. I mean, just because it says 'pork sausages' doesn't mean that there are no additives or nasties.

So I'm always looking out for new foods to try to get our tastebuds tingling from the deliciousness. HECK are in the sausage and burger business and are based in our neck of the woods in Yorkshire.

Important Things to Discuss Before You Walk Down the Aisle

If you are planning a wedding, then you can see that there are reasons why many people take years before they are actually married. There is a lot to sort and organise. The wedding itself can take a lot of planning and organising. But then there are a lot of other things that needed to be sorted before you walk down the aisle. You need to get a marriage license, as well as see a registrar to sort out of all the side of things. You might need to relocate as a result of getting married, as you might need a larger home. So a house move thrown in can make things quite stressful. There are a few questions that you need to ask yourselves before you get married, though. Here are a few important questions that you need to consider before you get married.

The Secret Life of Pets Family Challenge with Energizer

As we all know very well by the recent film, The Secret Life of Pets, all our animals come to life at night and have a whole world of fun in their own adventures. I'm sure it's the same for the boys soft toys too as I always seem to wake up and find them in new, unusual places.

So, with that in mind and the fact that The Secret Life of Pets has been released on DVD, we have been challenged by Energizer to get creative and make a special sleeping place for our very own soft toys so reveal their imaginative secret life that they get up to whilst we're in the land of nod.

Paw Patrol Adventure Bay Railway Track Set

There are so many toys out on the market at the moment and it shows more when Christmas arrives. Just watching the adverts in between kids TV shows put me in a tizz. And so, when I find a toy set that the kids not only love but also features characters from one of their favourite shows, I just know that it will be popular, especially for Christmas.

We were sent the Paw Patrol Adventure Bay Railway from Spin Master and as soon as it arrived the boys were pulling at the box to get it open. They adore Paw Patrol and watch it nearly every day, so I knew this toy would be popular with them.

Win | Jaguar Pace Eau de Toilette Natural Spray

The man in your life will be thrilled to see the iconic Jaguar logo emerge from his Christmas stocking with the brand new Jaguar Pace Eau de Toilette Natural Spray.

With the imposing appearance of the new Jaguar F-Pace has been passed on to the fragrance design with a vibrant grey and blue glass bottle, it has a similar bold silhouette to that of the new car and is complimented by the blue-tinted perfume.

The compact base is covered with a sophisticated lattice design reminiscent of the famous Jaguar radiator grill and the centre of the bottle is emblazoned with a shiny round silver insignia with the unmistakable brand sign of the legendary cat. Finished off with a shiny silver stopper which creates an attractive contrast to these tones.

The Best Ways For Home Owners Improve Their Property Value

Renovating your home can be costly and can get in the way of your daily life. Before doing anything you should always think long and hard about how it will help your houses worth in the future and how much value it will add.

Obviously, if you're doing up the house, the bathroom and kitchen are always going to fare well. Having a nice modern kitchen will appeal to most buyers as it gives the impression of someone who has taken care of the house. They will be the rooms that tend to cost the most to do though.

Create a Spa-Like Bathroom For Incredible Winter Pamper Sessions!

In winter there’s only one thing better than going out and having fun in the snow, and that’s coming home again and getting warm! As magical as it is watching the snowflakes fall, building a snowman with the kids or having a family snowball fight, there’s simply nothing better than getting into a hot bath to warm your bones afterwards. Relaxing pamper sessions are one of the best things about winter. You can light your festive scented candles, pop in a bath bomb or some luxury bath oil and treat your skin to a face mask. Absolute bliss! However, if your bathroom has seen better days, then it does take the shine off the experience a bit. Here are some of the ways you can improve the space, and create a more spa-like sanctuary to enjoy hot baths over the winter and beyond.

Dressing Your Home For Sale: Essential Dos and Donts

When it comes to our homes, there are certain things that we want to take as read. When we move in, we hope that we will live there for some time. We hope that the home will keep us safe and warm for the duration of our residence there. We hope, when we come to move, that we will get more for selling it than we spent buying it. This last one is, of course, subject to market forces. But it is a hope we retain anyway.

If you're planning on selling your home, you need to be approaching the sale with the right attitude in mind. The first and most important thing is getting the house sold at an agreeable price, allowing you to find the best place to move to.

Top Tips To Transform Your Living Room

Your living room is the central hub of your home. It’s likely to be where you do most of your relaxing, and the same can be said for your children. When you lead a hectic lifestyle it’s too easy to allow clutter to build up, and kids aren’t exactly known for their minimalism either. Every once in awhile, it’s important to organise and declutter your living room, and bring it up to date. Here are a few ways you can make a big difference, without a hefty price tag.

Going On Snowy Puddle Adventures With HiPP Organic

These next few months are going to be the perfect time to go on puddle adventures as all the weather starts to change and we get a lot of wetness than we do in the warmer months. Well actually, it has been so cold up here in Yorkshire at the moment that we have had some snow recently.

So when HiPP Organic got in touch with our next HiPP Explorers activity, I knew that it would be the perfect time to do our puddle adventures in the snow instead. I mean, the weather is so much better when you can throw snowballs at people.

How To Get Through Home Renovations At Christmas

Making any improvement to your home, or deciding to renovate completely, isn’t a choice you should make lightly. There are so many benefits to giving your home a spruce, such as making it feel refreshed to improving its value, and it’s easy to want to jump right into it. And sometimes, it can be a fantastic idea.

Messy Goes To Okido | Large Talking Messy Monster

With Christmas just around the corner, I try to focus on what my children love so that I have an idea of what they might like for Christmas. Television shows and cartoons help with this and children just love the characters from these shows.

The one that is a favourite for J at the moment is Messy goes to Okido. Airing weekdays on CBeebies, Messy goes to Okido, created by Doodle Productions, brings science to life through the incredible adventures of a curious, lovable blue monster called Messy.

Home Improvements That Are Worth Saving Up For

When you own a home, it can be such an exciting thing. You might have grand plans to redesign the home, to make it just as you like it. But what should you get done first? That is a question that you’ll need to ask yourself. Then you need to think about how to finance it. But as well as a mortgage and the cost of day to day life, some renovations might be put on hold. You might need to put something aside each month to pay for it. But that it fine, as there are plenty of things that are worth saving up for. So here are a few home improvements, that will be worth the wait.

How To Make The Most Of Your Mobile Photos

Having 3 children, I am always snapping photographs of them whilst out and about. It's not often I actually have my camera on me though so I opt for the next best thing, my phone. Luckily, phones nowadays are a lot better quality than they used to be and that means that i can get some great shots from the comfort of my phone. I can just point and shoot.

I usually always post these photos to social media as a way that family members can see them easily for updates of our children and it's a great way to store photos. But I like the real thing too. Proper photograph that you can hold in your hands and finger through to look at old memories, fun memories.

Which Is Your Favourite Wildlife Photo?

Being a blogger, I have maybe a few thousand photos sitting in my computer memory just now. That doesn't count the ones in my Dropbox, Cloud storage or my phone. But you will usually find me out snapping something or another.

Wildlife is something that I'm sure everyone loves looking at. Watching a bird fly towards his nest. Seeing the ducks glide along the river. Or even that cute time where you've caught a squirrel playing on the trampoline. Sometimes we actually manage to snap of photo at that exact time and it's great to look on them and show off the magnificent photo that we've shot.

Reality Shows | How Much Are The Celebs Paid?

When it comes to reality shows, I am a lover and a hater. I do like I'm A Celebrity and I sometimes pop in and out of watching Strictly Come Dancing, but I dislike Big Brother and the 'reality' shoes such as TOWIE and Made In Chelsea, they'e not my cup of tea at all.

I think it's down to the fact that I'm A Celeb and such like, have celebrities in the jungle so they're already used to the cameras and how it all works. When it comes to the regular Joe Bloggs, it all seems too much, like they're playing to the camera, and that's what puts me off.

Play Your Way Through The Reality Shows

I don't know about you, but I sometimes watching reality shows with one eye on the screen and the other rolling through Twitter to see how many complaints there are this year.

A lot of it gets very samey, and as soon as a woman takes a shower in I'm a Celeb or a dancer gets a perfect 10 in Strictly, everyone comes out in force to give their opinion on what they're watching.

Sometimes people even tweet if they're not watching it and are just following what's happening through social media. Let's take X-Factor and the whole Honey G drama for instance. The amount of people that I see moaning about her still being in the competition, yet then say how they don't watch the show. Why does it matter so much to you then?

I adore Christmas and have done since I was a child. It's such an important day for children as they are on their best behaviour, waiting for the big man to come a deliver their presents. Putting the Christmas decorations up is one of the most exciting events of the year in most households. This year, get everyone involved and make a day of it. Head out to the farm or garden centre and let the kids help with choosing a tree. Get the decorations down from the attic, and lay everything out. Put the tree up, and hang baubles together. Put some Christmas music on, and hang lights on the porch outside.

Three Ways Your Can Make Your Home A Better Place In One Afternoon

It would be nice to have a home like those ones in the magazines wouldn't it? You know the ones. They have beautiful furniture, immaculate carpets and not a speck of dust in sight. However, back in the real world we are trying to juggle looking after the kids and being a busy wife with everything else we have to do. So it can be almost impossible to live up to such ideals. But all is not lost!

Maybe it's not practical to have one of those glorious monuments to housekeeping, but there are some things that you can do to improve your home. The best part is they will work even if you have a house full of kids and pets, and they will only take you at most, an afternoon to sort. Read on to find out what they are.

Surviving Christmas Shopping With Little Ones - And Enjoying It

Christmas is a magical time for little ones. There are all the firsts to look forward to. The first trip to see Santa, the first Christmas morning, etc. It’s a treat for all the senses with Christmas music, delicious food, and festive fragrances. And there are so many new things for little eyes and fingers to see and explore. It’s a magical time for mums and dads too as they get to experience Christmas through their children’s eyes. But there’s no getting away from it; it can also be a stressful time. How do you plan and organise a beautiful Christmas with little ones, and minimise the stress?

Finding Future Engineers at The National Railway Museum York

Going out as a family, it is hard to find places that everyone will like and that caters for young and old. And when it comes to having a bigger family, everything gets expensive. So we love to find places that we all love and that are inexpensive to visit.

Enter National Railway Museum which is in York. In fact, it is just behind York railway station so is super easy to get to if you're travelling via public transport. The National Railway Museum is free to get in to although I always think it's polite to leave a donation as they are a national charity and donations help the upkeep of their extensive collections.

Amazing Black Friday Deals At Mainline Menswear

I love a deal. In fact, I search the web high and ow before buying anything, just to save those extra pennies. And so when the big offers start rolling in, I'm all over them.

With Christmas just around the corner, Black Friday comes at the perfect time. Exactly a month before Christmas it is and when I heard that one of my favourite menswear stores was celebrating with a huge deal, I couldn't help but get my husband to get adding his favourites to my basket,

Mainline Menswear started at their base in Scarborough (I do love a Yorkshire company!) and offer one of the largest and most comprehensive ranges of men's designer clothing online, catering for every man and every budget.

Miles From Tomorrow Stellosphere Playset

With Christmas around the corner, now are the days that we start to see all manners of new toys coming out, ready for the big day. And basing them around children's television cartoons is the big thing as it means that children get to play with their favourite characters.

My sons adore Miles From Tomorrow and so when they were sent the Miles From Tomorrow Stellosphere Playset they were so excited and couldn't wait to get it set and so they could play with it.

Avoid Hitting These Roadblocks Buying A New Home

There are a few issues that can stop you in your tracks when you're buying a new home. Indeed, it’s not always as easy to get on the property market as most people assume. You have to think about whether you can afford to buy, if it’s the right time and if you can get a great mortgage.

The Right Time?
Generally speaking, the housing marketing goes through highs and lows throughout the year. If you are buying a home for the first time and don’t have one to sell look for a slump in the market. This is when house prices crash to their lowest point. If you are currently buying in the UK, you’re in luck. Brexit has severely damaged the housing market. But, once article 50 is implemented it could get even worse so you may want to wait.

Bedtime Routines - Putting To Bed The Sleep Myths

Our biggest nightmare over the years has been getting the boys to settle at night when it's still light outside. Couple this with the fact that they have a large window in their room which shines daylight bright both morning and night, it means that sometimes, they will be awake for hours struggling to sleep when the light is peering through.

Getting in to a good bedtime routine is hard enough as it is without adding this to the situation. The bedtime routine can be a nightmare and Blinds-Hut are looking to find out exactly which techniques work when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep for mum and children.

Visiting The Smiggle Leeds Store For The #SmiggleXmasParty

It's not often that we go to blogging events as they are usually down London way so when we got an invite to an event, it was nice to see that it was up North for a change and that we could go.

Last week I eventually got to get out and meet some lovely bloggers, when Smiggle had their #SmiggleXmasParty up in Leeds which isn't too far away at all. The Smiggle store is in the Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre in central Leeds, a couple of minute walk away from the train station, so it is super easy to find.

Do Mobiles Have A Negative Effect On Our Children?

We live in a modern era whereby everything is online now. I mean, when I look back to when I was a teenager, there was no way that I could contemplate that I would be working as an online writer when I was older.

The majority of what we do each day can be done online, from paying bills and playing games, to writing and socialising. We can even order groceries to our door nowadays. But sometimes I do look at myself and realise that I am working online too much, so I take a step back and take a day off. So I can get back into my own life and not this one online.

Getting Christmas Ready with Zeek

Buying for Christmas is one of my favourite things to do. I just love Christmas. I love shopping, wrapping presents and then giving them out and seeing the smiles on peoples faces as they see what they've got.

It can get expensive though and so I try to look around as much as possible to get the best deal. Buying gift cards can be good too as it means that I always have money to spend at a certain store without the actual money burning a hole in my pocket.

Healthy Family Meals from HelloFresh

As a family of 5, it is hard to find meals that we all like, and to figure out new ways to juzz up old meals to create ones that we all will like. It had ended up with us just eating to same things over and over, stuck in a rut.

So, when HelloFresh got in touch and asked if we would like to try their boxes, I knew that it would be the perfect time to get us all eating new things.

After checking their site, I come to the conclusion that the Family Box would work best for us as it gives enough of each meal to feed 2 adults and 2 children. Well there are 5 of us but J is only small so I was sure that we could make do.

How To Create A Spooktacular Halloween

Every year I say this, but Halloween is my favourite time of the year. When children really do get to be kids and dress up in silly costume and get to feast on sweets and goodies. A night where I get to spruce the house up to make it look super scary and horrifyingly haunted.

I just love it. I love the kids that come Trick or Treating and seeing all the terrifying costumes they are wearing, the candles that brightening up the night, I just love it all. Well apart from those clowns that is!

So I wanted to show off what is available this year to make Halloween the most spookiest yet...

Christmas can be a difficult time for a mum, especially for the inexperienced and unseasoned. While everyone else in the house is enjoying the festivities, mum is always rushed off her feet, burdened with all of the work. There’s presents, family visits and of course, the food. With all of their logistical efforts, mum does deserve some time off, right?

Food is usually one of the most important parts of the holiday season and is probably one of the biggest burdens a mum has to bear. Here are a few ways you can take some of the stress out of your Christmas catering arrangements, that I’m sure you’ll love.

Can We Fix It? Yes We Can! With The Bob The Builder Toy Range From Smoby

Boys and their tools eh! It's like something in their brain, it just clicks and whenever they see a screwdriver they just have to try and unscrew anything and everything in sight. And this is true for my brood. No matter what it is. If it's got a screw in it, it can be fixed.

Because everything is broken according to boys...

And it's not just the handy screwdriver. Anything can be banged if you have a hammer to hand. Anything can be cut if there's a saw nearby. They just love fixing things, and making a noise of course.

Creating Varied Packed Lunches For Children

I remember the days of having pack ups for school. Soggy sandwiches, crisps and an apple. Not varied at all and after a while, it became very boring to eat every day.

So when it came to the time that my sons started school, I initially wanted them to go on to school dinners but that didn't happen. The fussy little buggers decided that they wanted packed lunches like their friends and the visions of the soggy ham sandwiches cam flooding back like a nightmare.

I said there and then that I would make sure that the boys packed lunches would be better than mine were. That they'd get a varied diet and would love checking their lunch boxes each day to see what they had this time.

Dressing For My Shape After Having Children

Dressing For Your Shape, Simply Be, Fashion, Fitness, Skater Dress, Shoes, Women's Shoes, Pumps, Prom Dress, Floral Dress, Thinking Slimmer, Slimpod,

Since having children, I have noticed that my body has changed shape and sometimes it does get me down. From a size 10 before having children and going up to a 14, well nearly pushing a 16, which I knew was so bad for my health.

Around 6 months ago I made a conscious decision to try and get in shape and embarked on a more healthier lifestyle. Over the past couple of months my shape has changed again, but this time for the better.

Whacky Penthouse Wooden Playhouse from Big Game Hunters

A couple of weeks ago we started getting our garden sorted. It's something that we've wanted to do for ages but with the cost of a new fence being astronomical, we didn't want to create our beautiful new garden when it wasn't totally private.

Eventually we were able to get our fence put up and so had all this space, to create whatever we waned to. Having the fence seemed to give us the look of so much more space and we were struggling to come up with ideas, especially at the end of the garden where we wanted something to focus the eye on.

LIFE Mobile | A Little Update Of My Maxi Tariff

Being someone who works online every day, it is hard to try and keep one eye on the ball at home whilst juggling my online presence. I used to always have my laptop at the side of me, regularly missing my children's firsts because I was too concerned with looking over to my right to work.

That's when I realised that something needed to change and I invested in myself a little and bought a smartphone so that could keep track of my online world, and reply to emails, whilst out and about, getting home stuff done too.

But then of course that would put my online use at the mercy of of SIM card and if the Internet was having a slow day, I would be too.
