Valentines Day at Asda

Valentines Day doesn't always have to be about big lavish gifts or huge romantic gestures, when you have been married for a few years, Valentines Day becomes more about those little things. A card just to say that your other half has remembered, breakfast in bed, a little text just to say that they're thinking of you. The big things don't matter any more when you are comfortable with your partner.

My husband and I have been together for over 10 years now and don't really do anything romantic for each other. We have our children, treat each other every now and then, but don't really do the whole, meals, couple time etc together.

But, when I do pop into Asda, I do usually pick up some of their deals, and this week, that is Valentines items. Even if it's not really as a Valentine's gift but instead, just cute 'I love you' crumpets which are heart shaped, I can't resist getting them.

Those and the Breakfast In Bed Kit which has cute little heart napkins, pink glitter hearts, heart shaped food picks, a cute menu and a toast stamp (you can also buy a toast stamp separately too). How cute that you can treat your other half to breakfast in bed with these little treats, not only can you get creative with these and make something yummy for your partner but there are little bits in this set that can be reused and I love the toast stamp.

Chocolate brownies are a good thing, no matter what time of year, but these Valentines ones are so sweet. I love that you can buy these and treat your other half to some gorgeous chocolate brownies. Although I am a bit confused as to why there are 3 in the pack when it is something that I would associate with couples and so should have two in the pack. Although it did mean that I got a cheeky extra brownie which is a plus!

Candles are something I love and the little set of 3 heart shaped ones are lovely. I don't think I would actually light them though and instead will place them on a little stand in our bedroom, just to give it an extra romantic touch.

The Hunky Monkey is obviously more of a little novelty gift. Most people love getting heart shaped plushies or bears, but this monkey one is super quirky and something that I much prefer for me personally. Not only that but he is super soft and cuddly too.

Whatever you want to buy for Valentines Day, make sure you get down to Asda and grab the goodies soonish so that you can treat you other half. You can find all these items and much more on the Asda website and in store.
