Now obviously we aren't going skiing this year, I don't think anyone would let a heavily pregnant woman go down frozen slopes in the freezing cold snow, but Aldi have a fab range of ski wear and winter clothing that is great for children and the upcoming cold weather we are supposed to be getting.
From full snow suits and thermal clothing, right down to accessories such as gloves and socks, there is something for any adventurous child out there.
We were sent a few items from the new Ski wear range, for the boys. and got to work letting them try everything on, ready for the winter to hit.
The Children's Thermal Set came in a size 3-4 years which was perfect for Charlie and he loved trying it on. A nice, soft fabric that is supposed to act as a warming layer under your clothing to stop the hit of the cold. Quite close to the skin, so clothing can be worn easily over the top and a plain design so that hey don't show under clothing. At only £4.99, they will be great for playing out in the snow and keeping him warm.
We got a set each of the Children's Ski Gloves which are £2.99 per pair and the Children’s Ski Socks which are £1.99 for a pack of 2. The gloves are very thick indeed, as are the socks, and are great for keeping fingers, and toes, warm in this freezing weather. The gloves have a Velcro fastening to help hold them onto hands whilst out and about.
The boys ski set was the biggest of the items. Priced at £14.99, it is a very thick and warm coat with coordinating trousers. The trousers have a zip and button fastening and braces to help hold them up. At the bottom of the leg, there is an extra, elasticated part inside the leg which fits snuggly around welly-boots and stops any rouge snow from creeping up.
As for the coat, inside it has some buttons which fasten around the tummy area and seal the base of the coat with the trousers to stop anything from getting inside. The zip fastening is robust and the hood gives extra protection from the head and face. This will be great for if/when the snow hits as it means that Thomas can play outside without my wondering if he is too cold.
Aldi have all this lot and more instore from the 4th December, so if you want to stock up on the winter wear range, make sure you pop in before it all goes.
