Kit Out Your Dog With Pet Shop Bowl

Mummy Blogging, Parent Blog, Yorkshire Blog, Pet Shop Bowl, Dog, Dry Food, Dog toy, Review,

We have been talking about getting a dog for ages now. I always said that once the boys get old enough to understand that it is in fact a dog and not a play thing, then we could get one. I wanted to get to grips with what we, as dog owners, would need to purchase to keep a dog and the extras that they require such as toys and treats so I got in touch with Pet Shop Bowl.

Pet Shop Bowl is a nationwide home delivery subscription service to pet food. They offer a unique subscription service called Bottomless Bowl to ensure you never run out of pet food again and deliver everything to your door with free delivery when spending over £19.99. Pet Shop Bowl have over 10,000 products in stock from over 100 brands and make sure they offer the most competitive prices possible.

They sent us a range of dog friendly items, from food and treats to toys and a safety collar. We split these between the 2 dogs in our family, Sam and Diesel who both got right at home tucking in to them.

My parents dog, Sam, is a Border Collie. He has been a part of our family since 2001 and is 14 years old. He is such a gorgeous dog and my boys love playing with him at my parents house. He is an old dog though and doesn't do playing with toys any more. He finds it hard work just going in to the garden and will never leave the comfort of his own garden. He is actually scared of other dogs and prefers his own space.

We also pop to my husbands brothers house a lot so I can visit my sister-in-law and their newborn little baby girl. They own a 5 year old Staffy called Diesel. He is such the opposite to Sam and loves being outside playing although he is stilled very scared of other dogs and I actually think he sometimes thinks he's a child not a dog.

The toys went down a storm with diesel. His owner, Nina, stating that he loved the ball on a rope. It is great for playing fetch and is very string and robust so he wont be chewing through it any time soon. The collar is also great for when she takes him out for a walk at night. They live near a road so it's great that this shines bright to protect him from oncoming cars and so Nina can see where he is also.

Sam loves dry food and so the Almo Nature Holistic food went straight to him. This is a super premium natural and well balanced complete food for all dogs. It has a high percentage of fresh meat in it making it extra meaty and is suitable for fussy, selective or sensitive dogs. It is also completely natural ingredients used with no artificial chemicals flavourings or preservatives.

Overall, I was happy with the quick service I received, the prices on the website and the fact that I can order everything I would need from there and set it to redeliver as and when needed which makes it even easier to sort out.

You can purchase all these items and more on the Pet Shop Bowl website.

  5. This is a great idea, I always buy the huge sacks of dog food and it's a real pain carrying them home, I like the idea of being able to get everything doggy related in one shop and have it delivered
