#WednesdayWords - Scooby Doo

Sometimes, I read something and I think to myself that some people are just plain nasty. Things that happen in the world these days are down right disgusting and it's usually come at the hands of another person who doesn't seem to comprehend or care about the pain they are causing.

People blame each other, blame the system, blame the government but no, we can never blame the culprit. They had a 'bad upbringing'. They have 'problems'. They can't be held responsible for the things they have done yet someone else is suffering because of it. Is it just me that thinks our system is ridiculous?

My Wednesday Words quote this week is:

'If Scooby Doo taught us one thing in life,
it's that the real monsters are humans'

  1. Well said - I heard about 'looters' yesterday on the news - during the flooding! I just cannot understand how people can stoop so low!

  2. Competition = Winner and Loser / s.
    Abuse of Power.
    Underdog.

Are these the type of thing /system / Culture to which you are referring?

Rather than Altruism, Caring, Sharing etc.

  7. I think Culture changes. In the past there may have been a sense of cohesiveness and community. Whereas now many are looking out for self :- No sense / feeling of community. As don't know neighbours etc. Fast pace of life, shift work, commute to work, etc, etc. Materialism seems important :- To keep in with, up with others etc.
