A Photo A Day Project: Week 5

The boys are always playing together and this week decided that Thomas would be the horse and Charlie the cowboy. Yeehaaaa!

Both boys have been unwell. Whenever they are poorly, they seem to have a wish to be together and so they decided to sleep in the spare bedroom in the double bed so that they could snuggle up together. They actually sleep better this way, although Charlie does end up with about 4 dummies in the bed too which are uncomfy to lay on as Thomas keeps telling me.

You're never too old to have a boogie and we showed that today we Thomas and myself had a dance around the livingroom.

My sister-in-law has just had her first baby, a little girl called Laurel and so, over the past few months, I have been buying and collecting items for a little hamper for her. This is most of what I have and can't wait to take it up this week and have a squeeze with Laurel too.

The boys are sick of having warm hearty meals all the time and today asked for a picnic. Thomas brought his bedroom rug downstairs as their blanket and they enjoyed sandwiches, salad, fruit, biscuits and crackers for lunch.

I love cooking and am always trying new things but sometimes it is nice to just have a basic meal such as scrambled egg on toast. I forget how nice this is!

Today we made a yummy cake. We all enjoyed pitching in to make it, and of course eating it too. I have also blogged my Lemon Drizzle Cake Recipe

  1. Nice photos. Lovely that the boys get on well.Being able to have fun together etc. Winter is the time of 'colds', viruses etc. Rest can be recuperating. Scrambled eggs on toast is delicious. The picnic lunch looks wonderful.Do enjoy your visit to see the new baby.
