One thing that does annoy me about my sleeping habits is that I do have technology in the bedroom. I know that we shouldn't and that it should be the place for sleeping but I think once you are in the habit of checking your phone every 2 minutes, it is hard to break it.
Both my husband and I have phone chargers plugged at either side of the bed so that we can both have our phones next to us. If I struggle to sleep (which is every night) I will then have a nosey on my phone... 2 hours later, I am shattered and looking at a blank Facebook screen refreshing it and bored. Check Twitter, check Facebook, check my emails... no nothing, check them again just in case, it's never ending.
Carpet Right were interested to know about sleeping habits and so put together the statistics into this infographic which is called Sleeping with Technology in the Bedroom and explains all about how modern technology affects sleep.
In a way I am glad that I am not the only one to have phones in the bedroom. A staggering 52% of people also keep their phones next to the bed and 70% of people will check it before bed to update their social media sites or check out the gossip.
I must admit one thing though, we do have a television in our bedroom but do not watch it on a night. It is only there for when football is on so I can send my husband away to watch it and I can be left I peace for a few hours.
So come on guys, spill the beans, do you have technology in your bedroom? Do you check your phone or watch telly in bed?
