I know that it isn't even Wednesday and that it is also way past Halloween but I was writing this last night and just had to share it with you.
Walking up and down the street,
Back and forth, waiting for those little feet,
All excited, shadows on the floor,
Where will we go next, to which door?
Knock, knock, knock but there's no sign,
Surely people know that it is Halloween time,
To somewhere else where it's all aglow,
Witches and warewolves, they're all on show,
A bright flashing garden, we're hoping for treats,
The door opens and out pops the sweets,
Seeing children light up and beam with delight,
It really is a beautiful sight,
Walking home, our glow sticks still shine,
I can't wait, till next Halloween time.
