Wednesday Words - Loyalty

Mummy Blogging, Yorkshire Blog, Parent Blog,
There are many quotes I see around the internet which I like and I'm forever sharing them to Facebook, either funny ones or very thought provoking ones.

I love reading how others interpret them and everyone else's opinions.
The ones that get me thinking though are the best. The ones that make me look at myself and the people around me to figure out if it's true for us.

My Wednesday Words this week is:

'Blood makes you related. Loyalty makes you family!'

I think that these days, more of our close friends become more like family to us.

I mean, there have been and still will be many times that I've walked straight past a person who is related to me and not recognised them. There are also times that I purposely avoid family members and look the other way hoping they don't recognise me but that's a whole different story.

My family, my loved ones are the people that are in my heart, in my thoughts and always on my mind.

They don't need to be blood related.

My husband, my soul mate, the love of my life! The man that gifted me with 2 gorgeous children and a loving 5 year marriage that I hope will last many more years to come!

There is one person whom I will always class as my best friend and dearest family. I have known her since I was 4 year old. She never judges me and we always talk, even if it's just crap and gossip, we know that we are always there for one another.

Family isn't about blood. It's about the people who you couldn't live without!

Crazy With Twins

  1. Very true words...While I love my blood relations they are not who I would call at 3am!

  2. My stepdad is the main male influence in my life and his loyalty to both me and my mum made him family whereas on the flip side my dad who is blood related I'd happily walk past (maybe punch as i went) in the street without a second thought so this is totally true!

  3. I totally agree with these words.
