Dr. Beckmann Service-It

Mummy Blogging, Parent Blog, Yorkshire Blog,

We go through loads of washing, nearly everyday the washing machine will be on, cleaning bedding, clothing, towels, more clothing, all sorts. Not to mention that our washing machine cost a lot (a very lot!) of money and so I always make sure I take care of my washing machine. If that bust then we'd have no way of getting anything clean. And they don't come cheap. A new washer costs from at least a few hundred pounds and a lot more for a decent one so I don't want to be forking out for another any time soon.

So when Dr. Beckmann got in contact asking if we wanted to review their Service-It range, of course I said yes. A chance to try out some products and see if they can actually get my appliances sparkling clean.

There are three products in the Service-It range, they are:

Service-it Washing Machine Cleaner
Dr. Beckmann Service-it washing machine cleaner cleans and freshens the washing machine whilst also maintaining it to keep the wash quality at top notch.

It works by eliminating washing powder residues that form on the insides of the washer and gets rid of the dirt and grime that cause the nasty odours. It can also get rid of limescale on the washers element which is great for us as we live in an hard-water area and limescale build up has always been a problem.

Use this product every 2 months or every 30 washes to ensure your machine is as clean as possible and it is especially necessary if you do a lot of cooler washers.

Mummy Blogging, Parent Blog, Yorkshire Blog,

Service-it Deep Clean Dishwasher Cleaner
Food and detergent always settle in your dishwasher, which over time can build up leading to unpleasant odours and an unhygienic machine, Dr. Beckmann Service-it Deep Clean kills 99.9% of bacteria leaving your machine clean and fresh.
It comes with a handy wipe, which is great for cleaning the door and its seals to get rid of any residue there.

Service-it Deep Clean Washing Machine Cleaner
Dr. Beckmann Service-it Deep Clean washing machine cleaner cleans deep down in your machine and also kills 99.9% of bacteria, leaving your washing machine hygienically clean and smelling fresh.

Dirt and left over washing powder settle in your washer and over time can cause a nasty damp smell and mould on door, seals and in drawers. Use Dr. Beckmann’s Deep Clean washing machine cleaner to tackle the dirt you can’t see in your machine.

Dr. Beckmann advise that this product should be used every 2 months or every 30 washes to ensure your machine is as clean as possible and say that to get an extra clean, it can be done consecutively with the Dr. Beckmann Service-it washing machine cleaner to thoroughly clean the whole machine.

As I said previously, my washing machine is a good one and so it has it's own clean function. After 40 washes it pops up on the screen saying it needs to do a deep clean, luckily (and a bit coincidently) this happened the day the Dr. Beckmann products arrived, and so we set it to the deep clean function, poured in the Dr. Beckmann Service-It and let it clean away.

I was pleasantly surprised though as the mould which did used to feature on the door seals had now gone (even though plenty of scrubbing wouldn't rid it) and the usual smell of foist was now replaced with a fresh scent which was more inviting for our clothing rather than usually smelling worse than the clothes going in.

We do live in a hard-water area and always have problems with limescale build up in the washing machine, round the taps and in the toilets so we are forever cleaning to make sure this doesn't happen. I am so glad that Dr. Beckmann have a product that combats this in washing machines because I don't know what I'd do if ours broke.

Can you imagine how horrible it would be having no washing machine? Well if you are feeling lucky, pop over to the Dr. Beckmann Facebook page as they are giving away a £100 Currys PC World voucher that you can use towards updating an appliance. Check it out here and don't forget to come back and let me know if you win.

- I was sent this product/s to review but all thoughts and experiences are my own honest opinions

  1. I have seen this product on ads and wondered if it was really worth the money or just my OCD need to buy it. Thanks for the review. I will be buying it

  2. I bought some of this a while ago but hadn't tried using it. I had to have a new washing machine last week as my old one gave up working, and ours is also in constant use. Now that I know this is worth using, I will be using on my nice new machine, to keep it smelling fresh :-)

  6. I love Dr. Beckmann products and have been really pleased after using it on my washing machine. I only use it twice a year though and after reading your post about needing it more often after cooler washes, I'm going to make sure I use it more often.

  11. I think these products are very effective in making a washing machine smell nice, having said that if you put an old towel through on a boil wash this has an equally good effect
