If I won the Lottery

I love my life but there are some times though I wished we had more. The finer things in life as they say. I'm sure everyone loves to imagine how they'd spend millions if they were ever lucky enough to win the Lottery and I'm no different.

I would love a house. Not some huge house in the countryside though. Our own home, built to suit us, with everything we want inside it. 5 bedrooms, a huge kitchen as I love cooking, a basement which is a games room with a cinema style screen (because I am that tacky) and a pool so I can stay in shape whilst having fun splashing around.
That or buy a house and extend to suit us, like the one I wrote about not long ago. My dream home just near to our current house and opposite our local park.

Maybe a nice new car to drive around. Have the wind blowing through my hair, listening to music on loud, me and my family singing along to the random rubbish that is on the radio having a great day out. I do miss driving now that we don't have a car and hope that one day, we can afford to get a new one.

Mummy Blogging, Parent Blog, Yorkshire Blog, Next up, some new clothing. I would love to just throw out all my clothes and spend a fortune on a whole new wardrobe.

I look at the lovely clothing in the online boutiques and really wish I could afford them. Just to be able to buy that one statement piece that shows that I am worth every penny. I love this vintage dress from Zalando which I would buy straight away if I was to come into a mass amount of money.

What about taking a break to a fabulous destination. Like the Maldives in one of the gorgeous beach huts. Sunning ourselves and then going for a relaxing dip into the pool. Could you imagine? This is my ideal holiday destination and I dream about going there.

I know, I know, I shouldn't be dreaming about things like this and should be happy with what I have but sometimes, it's just nice to day dream about the finer things in life.

What would you do if you won the Lottery? Spend it wisely or blow it.

  1. Ohh sounds fantastic!
I'd have a house built too...Disneyland for the kids, trip around America and enough socks to last me a lifetime...Nothing like that feeling of new socks! I would save some though so my gils will never have to want for anything! :p

  3. I imagine this scenario fairly regularly - it's nice to dream!

First thing I'd do is pay off the mortgages of everyone in the family, then take us all on holiday somewhere :)

And then, I'd love to design and build my own dream house too.

Spose I'd better start buying lottery tickets...

  4. My dad always said to me when you get some unexpected cash: "spend a little, save a little" so I would splash out on some cool stuff but make sure I saved some too!

  7. It's good to dream - I would look after my whole family, and would love to either buy a new home or perhaps even have one built to my spec.

  8. We talk about this all the time, and wish for similar things (plus I would just like to afford to move so that my daughters could go to a good school). Funny though - rarely buy a ticket!

  9. I'd pay off the mortgage. Wouldn't it be great not to have to count the pennies every month

  16. What some fab ideas. I would buy a house - with some land attached not too much just enough for some animals I wouldn't want anything too large just perhaps out in the sticks. I'd take a nice holiday away to think over everything first of all though as I would be out of my depth a little. x
