Tarot Reading by Sandra

The tarot is a pack of cards used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play a group of card games such as Italian tarocchini and French tarot. From the late 18th century until the present time the tarot has also found use by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination or as a map of mental and spiritual pathways.
Tarot reading revolves around the belief that the cards can be used to gain insight into the past, current and possible futures situations of the subject. Some believe they are guided by a spiritual force, while others believe the cards help them tap into a collective unconscious or their own creative, brainstorming subconscious.

I've never been a big believer in tarot readings but when Sandra from Tarot by Sanda offered to do me a small reading based on a question I asked, I wanted to put it to the test to see whether I believed it.

The one thing we have been thinking about for a while is whether we should have a baby yet. Me and Simon have been talking for a while but didn't know whether it was the right time. So my question to Sandra was:

Do you think it's the right time for us to have a baby?

Sandra's answer based on her reading:
---------
The first thing I get here is you're not happy. You feel stuck and a bit lost, you are however too proud to admit it. It shows here that you may need to readdress your priorities, you're very fun loving and can be quite self focused.
Your ideal here would be a new baby, a new focus.
In the position for what led to you asking the question I have a tricky one..have you been having relationship difficulties. This card represents heartache and separation, sometimes even another person involved.
Past influences show that you've felt quite alone and drawn into yourself emotionally, there's a lot of hurt here.
Coming influences show a much calmer time coming up , arguments and tensions will settle as you begin to communicate easier.
Currently you feel like your fighting a daily battle to stick to your guns and relying on your inner strength.Simon feels that you two can overcome your challenges. He loves you very much.
Your fears are that you'll be deceived in some way, or be deceiving yourself and regrets.

The answer: no, from these cards I feel that at the moment you could be doing it for the wrong reasons. Do you have deeper issues to solve first?
----------

To be honest, I was quite shocked when I got this reply. I was expecting an all happy smelling of roses kind of reply which would have made me doubt it's authenticity but what I got actually shook me.

There have been hard times recently. having 2 young children to look after 24/7 as well as simon currently looking for work since being made redundant means that tensions can run high sometimes. We don't really argue as such but do moan at each other over silly things as you'd imagine.

I have always felt alone, I don't really know why but for some reason I feel as though I should do everything myself and do sometimes feel as though I'm taken advantage of but as usual I just plod along. The same with being deceived really. I've never had someone be deceitful to me which is the reason I get a bit paranoid over it, the fact that one day it will happen to me and my world will come crashing down. Don't get me wrong I'm not a bunny boiler or anything but I do worry if people give excuses or are late for things etc.

With regards to Sandra's answer to the question, I think I knew this all along. I actually do agree that we shouldn't have another baby just yet. Not just because of this reading but I think in myself, in my soul, I knew it wasn't the right time.

I'm glad I had this reading done and thank Sandra for doing it.

  1. I am a total believer in Tarot cards etc I have had 2 readings in the past & have to say the 1st one I was shocked & stunned at how accurate the details were & what she was telling me, the 2nd one I felt was fishing for answers (these were both one to one sessions). Not had a reading done for a long while right enough but tempted to have one done :-) x

  2. Sounds interesting. I always wonder; does the person know me? Have they looked at Facebook or Twitter profiles to get a feel for me? So many questions and ways to come up with the "correct" answers. I would love to have one of these done but am a little skeptic as to whether they're genuine (not that I'm a non believe in this field - I'm just aware of the people in it for money alone) For £2.50 I suppose I could give it a go still.
Great post, nice to see you open up and share your feeling about such a personal subject.
