The Story of Toys, The Argos Toy Exchange

The Story of Toys

Every parent wants to spoil their children at Christmas time, every spare penny goes onto a special Christmas.

What happens when you can't afford that? What about all the children in the UK who wake up Christmas morning with nothing. Their parents struggling to pay the bills and put food on the table never mind buy presents.

Barnardo's is the UK's biggest children's charity who work with over 200,000 children and young people every year. They have have teamed up with the UK's number 1 toy retailer Argos in a bid to raise funds.

At Argos they believe that every toy should be played with, that's why they've launched The Toy Exchange.

The campaign is designed to give unwanted toys a new lease of life and help transform the lives of some of the UK's most vulnerable children.

They're simply asking people to dig out their old toys from the loft and bottom of the wardrobe and donate them at any Argos store.

Argos will then pass them on to Barnardo's to sell in their stores raising vital funds for their work with vulnerable children, young people and their families.

As a thank you, Argos is giving everyone who donates a £5 voucher to use in store when they spend over £35 on toys.

I'm sure, like me, you will be cleaning out your children's toy boxes ready for their new toys. So instead of throwing them out, why not pop into Argos and drop them off there.

The at least you know that you are also helping other vulnerable children who might not be as lucky this Christmas.

So, will you be donating?
